Tyler Cameron: Goodbye Edmonton, Hello Vegas
Well, technically, the Blackhawks aren't saying "Goodbye" to Edmonton because they are still there, but you get where I'm going.
I knew there was a chance but I thought Edmonton would have put up a better fight. The Oilers just didn't want it as much as the Hawks.
What do I think about this series? Here are 5 thoughts as we head into game 1. - Tyler Cameron
Is playing the round robin the same as playing a best of 5 elimination series, probably not.
To me a big key will be how Dach performs vs probably the more physical Knights.
If lines 1 and 2 perform as well as they did vs the Oilers lines the Hawks should compete in this series.
Trust 4th line, like i said before if that 3rd line can hold its own
If Koekkoek and Maatta can play like they did in game 4, i like our chances |

Toronto will probably get the 1st pick |

Perhaps it’s a simple case of schadenfreude... but man I do enjoy seeing TOR lose.
CLB vs TBY... the rematch. Should be fun. |

Damn.... that loss really must sting for the Leafs. With a flat cap they won’t be able to make too many changes either. |

Isn't it how life works, last thing you need is another forward |

They should be the best team by now. Look how everyone has so much playoff experience. |

Time’s up.
The high-octane Leafs shut out twice, 10 goals in 5 games - 6 total for Mathews, Tavares, Nylander (2 each) and Mariner [0].

Every team that lost in the qualifiers is actually a better team than the team who eliminated them, according to HockeyBuzz bloggers. Oilers have 2 great players and......crickets. (frank) the oilers and (frank) Toronto. |

No beuno...
And until proven otherwise, Andersen is exactly who he was in 2015 when he slowly crapped the bed in the WCF against the Hawks. He finished with a sub .900 save %.
He’s not going to win you a series. |

Toronto is Edmonton 2.0.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Leafs move one of their forwards for a high-end d-man. |

Hahaha absolutely better in your mind. In real life both the oil and leaves are golfing tomorrow. Better at what? Regular season hockey? Losers lose in warm weather hockey. |

I say the Rangers.
Should the Hawks remain at 17 I’d trade down to get extra picks. Maybe 17 and 55 to Ottawa for 22 and 33. - DarthKane
Would you like to try for Holloway with our pick or settle for maybe a lesser quality prospect by trading down (as you indicated)
Really boils down to this: is it worth getting a higher #2 or considering our farm system, do you want to try to draft the best quality player in round one. My choice is to defer to whatever wiz says on this....but initially I want to try for Holloway if (role play as Bowman) Saad is going to be dealt eventually. I would like to keep Saad but I am uncertain how his future salary may be too much for his slot in the lineup. |
