I just saw that Eklund has the Devils going after Lundqvist, that's funny

I could see him signing there if he insists on playing after his contract is up, he isn't going to want to move, that's always been the reason why he doesn't want to waive the NMC in the first place

- jimbro83

Vin would lose his mind if that happened

What's more likely?:

- Hank playing for NJ
- Trading #1 overall
- Matt getting it on with Salma

Going to keep track of how ridiculous this "offseason" gets

If we win the lottery we draft Lafreniere. I really don’t see us trading it. If we end up 10 or 11 I want Lundell.

Trading Grabner to the Devils is one thing. Trading Hank to the Devils is ENTIRELY different --- I just don't see it happening. Gorton wouldn't do it.

Having said that: If Hank gets bought out, would he sign with NJ? I doubt it, but IDK...

I truly don’t care where he plays next year, as long as it isn’t with the Rangers.

We all know Pittsburgh wins this. We’ve been calling it since we knew they had to face Price.

That TOR team shows us having all the talent in the world wins you regular season games but gets you no where in the playoffs. Need some sandpaper/heart and soul guys in the playoffs. If TOR were smart they would cash in on Marner or Nylander for a huge haul.

there was less than a 12.5% chance of Marc Staal scoring a shorty in the playoffs and that happened

That would be 3 times in 35 years they got the first pick when it was a generational talent no doubt #1 pick. And also even in 1990 they blew the last playoff spot to the Islanders and picked Jaromir Jagr w their first pick although he wasn't first overral. They picked him w the 5th and then the Islanders picked 6th and took Scott Scissons LOL

Very True. The only one we could send would be Smith and I think Ottawa would definitely jump at that offer still. There’s no way Hank or Staal waive their NMCs tho.

They will waive their NMC. Otherwise they get bought out (if they do not retire). Both should be on the move when the first buyout window opens, the second when arbitration happens for ADA.

They will only not waive if they feel they need to control where they go if traded. The origination owes these two nothing at this point. They should waive their clauses and take the possible trade like a(n) (aging) professional.

Well, considering a NMC is specifically designed so you can control where you play, this makes little to no sense. Like it or not, both Staal and Hank control their futures if they're not bought out.

Flagged this by accident. My b.

I want that pick, but I guess I'd be okay with it going to any of teams on the left half of this picture. The right half can go lick their own anus.

I think the whole world may revolt if the Femguins, Oilers or Leafs win it.

If it's not the Rangers, go to Minnesota or Winnipeg. Florida is a joke, and I'd like to see the kid play so that eliminates Nashville too. It is unwatchable to see them with those disgusting mustard jerseys they wear.

You could say the same for the Wild. They look like a bunch of Pickle Ricks with those horrid green pajamas they wear.
