I don't think he'll have to take a discount though, I think he'd get a 4 year 12 million deal on the market with a promise of more than the 4th line
I think hes gone - jimbro83
I'd give him 4 years at $2.5M and the "C"!!! |

We got #1.
I would trade 20 for 31 every year if part of it was that Carolina gets to beat out Boston. |

I was thinking about the C last night. I wonder if they hold out now. What if Laf really is the real deal. Do they wait 2 years and go the Eichel, Crosby, and McDavid route and make him the young captain? His personalty and game seem to make him seem like a leadership type of player. |

I'd go Trouba as captain, but that's just me |

You're asking for Leetch 2.0 there. I don't think Zib has the vocals for it. You make CK20 captain as he's done it in college and can say the right things. Make ALF and A in 2 years if he's truly a leader and then he's the heir apparent when CK contract is over |

Don't know about that. They interviewed Zib and his teammates before last year and they said how he has really taken over the leadership role.
Don't like Kreider as the C he is too inconsistent. Kreider just needs to concentrate on playing hard every game. Zib has been one of the most consistent players the last 2 years |

Um, excuse me?
I have already selected our next captain. You are all just going to have to learn to live with it. |

really, whether it's Kreider, Zib, Trouba, I am fine with any of them as captain
I do think they actually need to name a captain though, its time |

Fast would be awesome if he wasn't mute. His work ethic every shift is something every player can learn from. |

The Wild are in the market for a goalie. Maybe Hank plays his final year w/ Zuuc and plays majority of games while mentoring the Wild's rookie goalie? |

Were all so sold on LaFreniere being our pick... but has anyone given any serious thought and consideration that maybe they go for Byfield instead? |

Hank for Dubnyk, then we buyout Dubnyk, would be 2.6 mil cap hit
Minnesota has to take Hank's whole cap hit though |

Take the BPA here. Alexis light years ahead of Byfield. If we want a 2C we have trade chips to make it happen |

I can't even imagine them sticking at 1 and passing on Lafreniere, it's such a clear cut choice this year
him and Byfield are not 1a and 1b like Hughes and Kakko were last year
there is a drop off |
