I miss Torts. That man might have been an pain and over time wore guys thin, but he knew how to get his team to play 120%.

No, sir. I'm from Niagara. We actually have a really large mix of NHL fans, but the highest percentage has to be Leaf fans. Lots of Habs, Sabres and Penguins (in the younger generations) fans about. I only know about 3 other Ranger fans.
As for my close buddies, we are all spread out. 2 or 3 Leaf fans, 1 Caps, 1 Stars, 1 Blues, 1 Flyers, 1 Bruins, 1 Habs, 1 Canes, 1 Isles, and one incredibly handsome Rangers fan!! |

He is a great Coach but he has a shelf life just like Mike Keenan that doesn't last long. |

HE also needs his type of player. I knew he'd be a disaster in Vancouver, not the right time for a coach like that. |

Yes, he was close to having that team with the 2011-12 Rangers who went to the ECF. He def forges an identity with his teams |

I was at that matchup in Vancouver that year. I believe it was early in the year. I knew they'd be a tough out. |

Everyone thought with all the losses CBJ sustained in the offseason theyd be left for dead... here they are, causing problems. |

He's a great playoff Coach too. Still think Hank had some major input and went to Sather after the 2013 loss to the Bruins and killed Torts |

I'm pretty sure the whole team did. Torts for some reason when he was here could not adjust to let the skilled guys use their strengths. Everyone had to play a blue collar style. I liked Torts but it was his time to go. |

Yeah he definitely seemed like a different coach in Columbus. Looked like he learned to incorporate all aspects into his coaching style. Its why I think he bombed in Vancouver, that was a high skill team and not even remotely close to a blue collar team. |
