Lots of people seem to be leaning that way. I think the Avs are better, but regardless the East looks stronger than the West so the cup will probably end up there. - NorthNuck
If it is the East I want OV to get his second. I want to play Where's Waldo( OV in a drunken stupor again )
I have really got to appreciate his career in the last few years. I would like to see him pass Gretz.

Same, I wasn't a huge fan of his until a year or 2 before they finally won the cup. Records are made to be broken, I hope he plays until he's 40 if he needs to.
Disagree. He is a (frank)ing beast. Although, this draft class is definitely overrated - CanuckDon
How do you know if it’s overrated or underrated until you see the draft class play in the bigs?
Take 2003 for example. Very few predicted that year was going to be one of the best ever (most games played by draft class). When a goalie goes first overall, it’s usually reflects the quality of the forward group.
Who knows what will happen this playoffs. What I can tell you is prior to Rona Blues were best team in prior 12 months. Been very clear from day 1 this team gave zero poops about the exhibition games. Not gonna say I wouldn't of liked a better effort but that was their approach, same as Boston. Could end up being a bad plan.
Blues have own issues going into this series. Bottom 6 may be a mess. Blais may not be able to play game 1 and barbashev is on way back to bubble and needs to clear protocol. So he is likely not back till game 3 or 4. So will be interesting.
Would not surprise me to see them play Bortozzo on the 4th line just to set tempo and make sure series gets physical right away. They did this last year's playoffs for a game or two.
I think our 2nd line will give Canucks fits. Lots of heavy play and cycling which was staple for us last year.
Parayko is going to hurt someone this series. Mark my words. Dude has been firing bombs one will connect in a bad way with someone. See Bishop.
Goaltending hasn't been issue. Team has just been lazy and not moving their feet. Result has been less goals and giving up goals late in games. - Gerk
What a weird comment regarding Parayko. Blues are overrated and your City is garbage

I can't speak for everyone here....(because I am a crazy person), but I think you guys will be like upstairs neighbours.....annoying but we can live with it.
It'll be a war of attrition....whoever breaks first.

It can’t be judged until years after, no? - bloatedmosquito
It was very hyped a year ago and I don’t think it’s lived up to expectations. It’s just not very deep imo. Good year to lose our pick. But for sure, it could turn out to be a sneaky good draft. This year is more unpredictable than ever as they didn’t play much hockey/ no combine etc

The difference with him and Gretz is you could see Gretz's game declining in his later years and OV is still an animal.

I am so glad you know this . We were too polite to tell you

Over-hyped I can agree with!
All the online stuff, the need to sell air time on TV, magazines, radio does create this need to hype it up. Drives me crazy.
Remember 2012? That was just stupid. One of the most over-hyped bunch of poop ever.
Interesting comparison. Not as fast, a better playmaker and tougher. Ya, I think he should have a better career. Hope so - CanuckDon
I see him topping out at that level which is still a damn good player. Huberdeau is another guy like that although again not tough. He might of been drafted as a C though.
You think he is better than Hall?
Different styles I know but I don't see a guy who is going to change a team's fortunes. - belcherbd
Are you suggesting Hall doesn’t change a teams fortunes? He singlehandedly put New Jersey into the playoffs in 17/18. Same year he won the Hart. He’s the only Devil’s player to ever win that trophy. I think the guy is a beast when healthy.
