Dude has probably played his last game.... Show some respect

Benning said yesterday they are going to try to rehab him and he hopes he can play again, not this year but in the future.

It does not look good though.

Hopefully he takes next year off to fully get himself healthy. Seems like going in 3-4 month chunks isn’t working.

Love his fight and determination, but he really has to think of his life after hockey here. 3-4 years of hockey versus 50+ years left on the planet.

There is no reason for him to come back IMO. He will receive a nice pay for the next 3 years , No need to risk his health .

I love what he brought and it makes me wonder how deep the team could have went with a healthy Ferland. I do think it is time to walk away on permanent LTIR

Healthy him in the lineup against the Blues would have been amazing. Unfortunately, that’s just one of those injuries that’s sort of out of his control

Benning: We've been here long enough now to draft and develop our own players. We've got good players in the system that can step up, sometimes it take 3-5 years to develop players and now they're ready. We're not going to be looking to free agency anymore. #Canucks

There is very little Stecher Hate. Don is the only one to say he sucks.

Saying he gives it all every shift and loves it here is not hate . There is nothing wrong with asking a question will we upgrade .

- VANTEL

It's interesting to me that you're looking to upgrade Stecher and Motte, as opposed to Beagle, Sutter, Fantenberg, Eriksson

I don't think Fantenberg is coming back. I did say yesterday the entire 4 th line needed upgrading.

Motte and Stecher are on expiring contracts this year , when the other players you mentioned contracts expire I promise I will say they should be upgrading

I think if Motte can be re-signed for ~1-1.25 mil that's pretty solid value. Stecher's a little different, definitely lots of options to look at, but I stand by the idea that if he's willing to take a hometown discount you keep him.

I just heard the interview a few minutes ago. He mentioned the names MacEwen and Juolevi as ready to play . He also said Chatfield as the third player. I think Jim likes him.

You are probably right . I think the deeper this team goes the more likely the return of what you seen last night will be our next year lineup. We are just tossing out ideas.

Sometimes I wonder when watching Vancouver if we’re not seeing the Blackhawks circa 2009 (conference final) or 2010 (Cup). I present Pettersson as a young Patrick Kane, Horvat as a young Jonathan Toews and Hughes as a young Duncan Keith. I don’t see a Seabrook but ... just saying

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Third time this week I have heard the Horvat /Toews comparison

This is the time period in their development that I wanted them to start looking at free agency.

But, yeah, this is a good thing!

I can’t stand Toews. He’s such a dufus.

If they can stay healthy, they just might get out of this round.

Horvat impressed me. JTM dangerous as always.

Tomorrows game won't be easy.

I think team speed is going to give the Blues fits. They are last years champs but I doubt that they are this years champs. They will try to intimidate and out muscle the Canucks but the Wild tried that too. We did take 5 of 6 points off them this year.

One game at a time. If we lose , oh well it was fun.

was there any explanation (during/after game or on twitter) as to why JTM didn't take the pre-game?
