What a win. Late 2nd period goal was huge.

Hate rooting for you guys, but I despise Wilson.

He can play exactly the same way he did today for the series

Just a great, never quit, team effort.

Just gonna miss Bailey, Nelson Ebs and the other soft guys when Lou gets rid of the in the off season.

That’s about as resilient a playoff win we’ve had in years. Stay healthy, stay OUT of the box, stay with the system and we can beat this team.

It was a great win. I credit coaching. No way they stayed that discipline with Crappy or Weight as coach. They would have collapsed in the first.

Even better it sends a message to the Caps.

Imagine these guys reffed the Bolts-Blue Jacket game? The game wouldn’t have lasted 10 minutes in OT.

100%. If Weight or Capuano were the coaches they would’ve folded in the first when the caps and refs teamed up together to punish the islanders😂

I think they stay for 2 games and then when it would change venues they would get a new crew, but I could be wrong. I think with the bubble they change up the refs each game. But again I could be wrong.

Where’s upstate when you want his opinion

Looking forward to the league sentencing Anders Lee to public execution by hanging for his hit on Backstrom

I just hope they don’t suspend Lee for the hit on Backstrom saying he targeted his head and was vulnerable.

We are the Islanders and I wouldn’t put anything past the league at this point.

Yeah usually the same refs are for the series whether home or away. Change for the next series. I’m sure they’ll follow that same format makes sense with covid but who knows?

Trotz: "Anders is making a hockey play. I don't know if Nick was ready or not. Anders is a strong guy, the hit was made and they responded, he and Wilson fought and that was probably the end of it. We'll see."

Well like Trotz said on Wilson’s hit on Lubo;

“It was a good play to make.”

I don’t know I don’t think I’m being a homer by saying that wasn’t suspension worthy. Far from it imo.

He hit him square in the chest. If we're being consistent with the way things are treated in the playoffs the worst thing Lee will get is a fine. If we're being consistent with the way the referees did their job today, Lee will be banned from the league for life.

I totally agree. But again, it’s an Islander and it’s Toronto making the decision so it wouldn’t surprise me.
That said he’s never had a reviewable hit so even if they suspend him I’m thinking most 1 game but I don’t think it was suspension worthy.

Really, really, really bad. You can only hope they realize how bad they were and they fix it.

That's MR. Chains to you, mdw. I hope you didn't come here to gloat about Lafreniere, or Lafannyass, or whatever his name is.
