Seems like obvious progress to me. Simply looking at goal differential shows they were in more games. I put most of the deficiencies on the roster, not the coach. Ralph put a low scoring team with mediocre goaltending in position to pick up points most nights.

the minimal gains were kind of lost by the slight regression in special teams IMO
