If that is truly the case. I agree with 89. Get rid of Eichel. I feel bad for the guy. Now his owners could careless about winning and him - Sabretooth9
If they did care about winning why sign skinner ?
He be gone |

Not off hand but I'm sure there are a few. Just looking to see if you can admit that he's been pretty good for Tampa during this post season - Michael Pachla
Pretty good as a #6 making the vet min? Sure.
There’s still almost no difference from him, to your average AHL call up |

Jack went from ECHL, to a top-10/Hart-worthy center who could very well be a top-5 center in the league in a year or two. Don't see how trading him away for potential, no matter how much, does this franchise any good - Michael Pachla
Well, let's face it...it won't happen.
But the scenario below envisions a complete rebuild if they ever traded Eichel.
In that rebuild vision , it encompasses the team sucking once again for 2 years; but with that comes the opportunity to add to the pipeline as Tage and Mitts are used in packages to enhance trade returns.
Buffalo fans are now very use to rebuilds, and they can save their money for tickets to spend on vacations until the team re-emerges... and re-emerge it shall as a young, very fast, and exciting team that can drive play.
Jack, a Top 5 Center should be worth 3 - 4 premium assets. The 1st-OA in this draft class probably is considered more than 1 premium asset. So let's guess that if the Sabres were to trade Eichel to NYR, they should expect 3 assets back, now add in Tage to back- fill a bit and to get those 4 premium assets; for instance;
¤ 1st- OA,
¤ Pavel Buchnevich
¤ K'Andre Miller
¤ Alexander Georgiev
Now, take the 1st-OA and trade it along with Kahun, and Mojo to Los Angeles for:
¤ 2-OA
¤ Arthur Kaliyev,
¤ Akil Thomas
In addition to those moves are Risto and Montour who are then on the block as well.
¤ Montour to TO for Kapanen
¤ Risto and Mitts to The Peg for 10-OA and prospect Kristian Vesalainen
DRAFT
¤ 2-OA = Quinton Byfield
¤ 8-OA = Rossi / Holtz
¤ 10-OA = Sanderson / Lundell / Quinn / Jarvis / Gunler
Center
Dylan Cozens
Quinton Byfield
Marco Rossi / Anton Lundell
Akil Thomas
Rasmus Asplund
Curtis Lazar
Left Wing
Jeff Skinner
Victor Olafsson
Arthur Kaliyev
Kristian Vesalainen
Right Wing
Sam Reinhart - - he should be on the block as well, probably for Dahlin's partner
Pavel Buchnevich
Kasperi Kapanen
Alexander Holtz / Jack Quinn
Lh-Defense
Rasmus Dahlin
Jake McCabe
K'Andre Miller
Bryson / Samuelsson
[B]Rh-Defense
Henri Jokiharju
Colin Miller
Wil Borgen
Goalie
Linus Ullmark
Alexander Georgiev
Carter Hutton
I'd be very excited to watch that team for years to come. |

Twitter just reminded me that Florida traded Marchessault to Vegas so they would take Reilly Smith instead of Alex Petrovic.
Unbelievable how badly most of the NHL bungled that expansion. |

As in the Sedins? They peaked from age 25-30. Of course, even during their declining years, they were still damn good players most years. |

Anaheim gave Vegas their 2nd best player in Theodore so they wouldn’t take Vatanen who’s like a #5 d man |

Whoa, is that a real conspiracy theory?
Fla fired Gallant so Vegas could hire him as part of some under-the-table expansion deal?
Never heard that |

Well they didn’t have to fire the guy and leave him at the airport....

Fear of the unknown sprinkled with a side of extortion was all it took to make most GMs lose their goddamn minds. Brilliant play by McPhee. It just goes to show how the same guy can make great moves even after making possibly the worst move of the cap era in the Forsberg trade. |

The real test will be with Seattle, will have they learned their lesson and tell them to take a flying (frank) at a rolling doughnut when they're told if they make deals with other teams they won't make deals with them? Because you know Seattle is going to try the same poop. Why wouldn't they? |

Karlsson and a first rounder to not take Anderson or Korpisalo (I mean the guy has been a horse in the playoffs though) |
