Seth is a heck of a coach and he’s done very well at the USNTDP the past few years. He’s a progressive coach and very smart guy. I’m hugely biased, but it’s a great hire for the Amerks.

Big thing in hiring Appert is how well he works with goalies. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen should benefit having him.

I said miller is over rated, due to longevity

he was not a great goalie aside from the olympic year


he was a middle of the pack goalie but he played a lot of games


we made the playoffs twice with miller after briere left, his vezina year and the year enroth got hot in the spring

He recently completed his first season as head coach of the U.S. National Under-18 Team at the NTDP in 2017-18, leading them to an NTDP-record finish in USHL play and a first-place finish at the 2018 Under-18 Five Nations Tournament.

Last season he served as an assistant coach at the Under-18 World Championship, helping lead Team USA to its record 10th gold medal. He also served as an assistant coach for the U.S. Men’s National Team at the 2017 IIHF Men’s World Championship.

In his 20 years in the collegiate coaching ranks, Appert has recruited and helped develop 13 All-Americans, 37 all-league selections, four Players of the Year, four Hobey Baker Finalists and 23 players who have gone on to play in the NHL

I want Taylor's first coaching salary and let's compare it to this guy's.

They obviously want a guy who focuses on the DEVELOPMENT part of it, rather than a guy who plays all his AHL vets 20 minutes a night and STILL GETS BEAT IN THE FIRST ROUND.
