They were 25th place team that was actively chasing down 26, perhaps even 27th.

This season 24 teams made the playoffs, they added 50% to the normal 16.
They were nowhere near a playoff team.

I feel like it isn't said enough that the Habs lost more games than the Sabres. They were no more deserving of a chance to make the playoffs by winning 3 of 5 games than the Sabres. If the Sabres had 2 NHL goalies this year they would have been in the play-in round even without a 2C. The team has problems. It's also not far away from competing. The question is can enough of the problems be fixed?

The way I look at it, is we are getting an additional 5-10 points from the 2C.

And Mojo still gets his 40 points on the third line giving us an additional 5-10 points there.

Giving us 15-20 additional goals.

yeah I mean they won 21 of the last 57 games

a handful of points from a center is not going to make us a better team


there is a lot of holes in the lineup
there is also a lack of chemistry
and the players on the ice, for the most part, do not have the it factor
