yeah I mean they won 21 of the last 57 games
a handful of points from a center is not going to make us a better team
there is a lot of holes in the lineup
there is also a lack of chemistry
and the players on the ice, for the most part, do not have the it factor
It's going to take more then a second line center and uttering the line yapple dapple
- homiedclown
A fair number of posters don't see it that way.
To me, it is so very obvious when watching them and comparing them to other teams.
I posted similar yesterday about the roster missing guys with high compete, refuse to lose, challenging their teammates. Need alot more of it.
There is more than counting roster holes. |

That's certainly a "motivated" lineup.
But having Borgen on the top unit with Dahlin?
(frank)ing yikes. - Powerslave
Yea I wouldn’t want that either.
Realistically I think Risto stays and Montour goes. Borgen stays up as the 7, Bryson plays in the AHL and is first call up. I’d like to see them sign Merrill though.

I agree with this, they need a few decent players that have been through play-off wars, and be shown what heart and dedication it takes to get there. |

I have no idea if he would ever seriously consider Buffalo, but Patrick Maroon would be a nice 4th line addition. |

Thought the same from back reading.
65+ pts should be the qualification; like 20/45. - IonSabres
If a team has that kind of 2C production, why would they consider trading him? |

Maroon plays 13 to 14 minutes a night for Tampa, but would be a 4th liner here
priceless

In his defense, he had the bjustead as the 3c. But I’m not sure I want the bjustead playing with cozens. Can injury history be contagious? In this scenario, I’m sticking with the Copp idea and finding another 3c.
Even though, bjustead will probably be on the Sabres roster on 2021.
A lot of moving parts in that die by the blade piece. The d needs work, Borgen on the top pair is a bad idea. Asking Coburn to waive to sit on the bench here seems odd.
But it’s the offseason and at least something to talk about!

So putting the pieces in their “proper” place, what holes does that leave and can you do anything to up that group to 3?
Dahlin-
-Joker
McCabe -Miller
Risto and Monte traded? |

to be a decent all around D group
they need a #1 RD
and a #2 LD
I mean we all love the potential in Dahlin and Joker, but the top 4 needs a few solid anchors if they want to compete for the next 2 years
they have prospects in the pipeline for long term solution, but if your putting miller, risto or montour with dahlin, it's a meh pairing
same for mccabe with joker |

He was 11th in even strength ice time for Tampa forwards during the regular season at 10:46 per game.
That's not 4th line minutes? |

I would not touch Holtby with a 10 foot pole this offseason. |

Everyone needs to stop saying Bjugstad or it might happen he sucks and his contract will be a headache - gerbe75pts
he doesn't suck
he's a .5 ppg player on a 4 mil contract that expires at the end of the year
slightly cheaper version of marcus johansson |

Fat shaming ? He's making good money he has the power of making himself an impact player ...
You talk all this crap about "generation this" but can't see what casey is doing ..
Hell if he did the work we be fine at 2nd line center and with cozens we be scary |
