Botterill was making those kind of trades during his entire tenure - Blow boy, scandalous, Wilson, Sheary.

I'm not saying that the Pegulas should be held harmless, but Botterill did Botterill things during his entire tenure. It wasn't like the switch flipped and he suddenly became win now.

He had middled it since day 1 - exhibit A: 6 draft picks per draft each of his 3 years and this year would have been 4. Rochester was buoyed by pricy vets.

The past 2 GMs aren't victims. He sucked. Murray sucked. Hopefully Adams doesn't suck.

- jcragcrumple

Previous two GMs are like JFitz and Sbroads. Can argue all day who is the worst poster on here when it doesn’t matter. They both suck.

Skinner's goals/game in Carolina was 0.35 over eight years. In 2+ years for the Sabres it's...

0.38

? What?

Go back and look at his track record with trades, he brought in a ton of "dead" money with old vets who were friggin useless?
He created his own Cap nightmare he hud behind.

- IonSabres

Other then Frolic, what old expensive Vets did he bring in.

I prefer low 300s, or the very last row so I can stand.

Guess thats why I cant see how soft skinner is

Pominville, who was good.

His trades were fine, and the ROR trade is square on the owners shoulders.

His problem was inactivity this past season.

If he made that Risto for Ehlers trade we’d be playing up until at least the qualifying round and he’s the GM next year.

-50% High Danger shots
-20% Medium Danger shots
+ 30% Low Danger shots.

His poop probably tastes better than yours you are slinging around.

I don't think you or others understand what a battler means. It means fighting to stop goals as well as try to score them, it means to fight for pucks in the corners. The Leafs showed why they need a new team makeup up front and well on the D too.

That's actually a bit part of their job description, getting out in the community, doing public appearances, public speaking, etc.

The 36 goals in the first half of his season here skewed his Sabres stats a bit, don't you think?

Ironically, Risto was the only RHD that played well under Ralph. Toss up as to their ultimate finish

And the 25 games to end the year before. Intense puck-unluck carried on.

Maybe. Just looking at the yearly totals. When he's on he really is deadly. This year he was just a bit off, imo.

I don’t think we will agree on whether he actually played well or not.

After mid November he was the same player he always was

Of the 10 UFAs going into this year, 9 were his either through signing or via trade. Bogo was the lone exception. People were giving him credit for clearing the cap when he did it all himself. He put himself in cap jail and people were ready to give him back the keys and let him do it again.

He had no idea how to assemble a roster

His trades were pure garbage and unnecessary except for 2, and then he had to overpay to keep 1 of them because he didnt think through the possibilities.

He left the place pretty much where he found it. Minus ROR, plus Dahlin. Minus Kane, plus Skinner

Would you agree that Montour was less than average and Miller struggled most of the season?

He is paid to score goals, which admittedly he struggled with last season.

Like the leafs, the top end players on the the sabres isnt the problem

I would also argue skinner has more battle, or fire or whatever you want to call it than any of the leaf forwards

Sure, but Montour was playing wing, left D and with different partners all the time.

Miller sucked the first half, was in and out, and then was excellent to end the year.

Jokiharju is the teams best RD, and by next year it probably won’t be close

I don't mind Risto, yes he has been bad, but bad on some horrible teams. But I hope Adams finally pulls the trigger on him. They could have pulled atleast 2 trades of using Risto that would have helped this team out, it's time.

Skinner literally pisses off every team he plays against because he battled and agitated and is always around the net.

Remember when Yandle jumped him?

Again what old vets did he bring in other than Frolic. And could those UFA'S been on purpose hoping that some of his picks might start hitting the system, and taking spots.
