Don't goaltenders need game action and a full training camp to be in top form? I realize goaltenders return from injury in season without a training camp. Nonetheless, covid even minorishbissue plus nhl layoff....expecting too much for Crawfordvto be in top form

- jhawk59[was] a gamble. Didn't trust the back.ups. Hoped that he would round into shape. Playing 19 yr oldvfast tracked Boqvist a mistake too. He isn't ready at his age with his [lack of enough] strength. Probably needs to grow into a man's body. Getting preresiquite strength probably entails two SUMMER training commitment. Or so i would guess.

CrawfordcandczBoqvist cost us. And Strome is too slow and doesn't provide other service like board game. ADB is not right with his body but needs time to het in shape he was in when he scored 40 plus goals. Again probably needs a summer and maybe more to realign. ADB did not loose ability. He needs to be in position to harness that ability

I think you're right Hawk for the reasons you state. And the busier he gets the more it's going to show. But the bright side is he will get better quicker.

I dont know. I thought I heard he didnt skate during warmups...so that would say injury. But I do not know 100%.

Agreed. The third period totals wouldn’t be so lopsided if the Hawks made one less pass in the O-zone and put the puck on net. Lehner is not dialed in - just gain the zone drive to the net and get the puck on him. He’ll give up a rebound more likely than not.

Nice bounce back period from Crow, he kept them in it as they got outplayed a bit.

I know others have said it, but for the love of Jesus, SHOOT THE PUCK. So many fancy stupid plays that turn into nothing. Playoff hockey is about gritty goals near the net, you aren't going to get those unless the puck gets there. Dach's goal is a perfect example of that.

And I will say, even though both might not return, I've actually been pretty impressed on the whole with Maata and Koekkoek during the playoffs. Both have been quite solid on the defensive side blocking shots, and holding their own in coverage. Koekkoek especially has looked good on some occasions skating the puck up and jumping into the play. It's a shame the Hawks probably can't afford to keep either guy.

Well, win or lose I'm pleased the Hawks have played pretty well. Gives me hope they can beat this very good team at least once, if not 4 times.
