True Panarin looked into his crystal ball and knew if the Rangers lost they would get the number 1 pick, such great reasoning as to why he sucked. - Brukie
you heard that he's a Hart Trophy finalist right?

This guy would find something to complain about if they won the cup. Panarin grabbed the cup wrong, what a bust. |

To think they had two of the better scoring lines in the league, and now with Alexis that’s probably 3 ridiculous lines. (I’m assuming they do exactly what they did with Kakko.)
Regardless, losing the playin turned out to be one of the best days in this orgs history.

since you are an Islander fan, do you think Sorokin will be better than Shesterkin? |

On the matter of Strome, theres a couple of ways to look at it. We could give him a bridge deal, get through the year and see what happens in next years off-season. On the flip side, he was on a point per game pace for most of the year. Clearly had some chemistry playing with Panarin. He won 47.5% of his faceoffs, which is pretty good. What do we do if we look for a “more better” 2C, it ends up being a wild goose chase, and dont find anyone that can equal what Strome has produced? We talk about trading for all these players, but right now Im not sure anyone wants to talk to us about anything, especially not Toronto.
But I am all for doing 2C shopping but not willing to blindly toss Strome to the side.
As far as Chytil goes, and honestly anyone on the bottom 6 (except maybe Lemieux). I think theyre all fair game to trade. If someone sees value in Filip, fine take him. I think for us its imperitive to get a 3C and even a 4C who can win 50% of faceoffs. Im a huge stickler for the importance of winning faceoffs. I think its a huge game changer and momentum shifter when you can be a menace as a team in the dots. |

Better?? Pretty subjective If the Rangers continue to play defense like they have and Trotz has the Piles continuing to play defense first, who do you think will have better numbers?? |

Me you and jimmy seem like the only ones who value faceoffs lol you are not wrong
Chytil is destined to be a winger imo
Strome may very well be the only option but we can’t overpay, that’s the part that worries me. Like 4-5 yrs 6.5 mill is probably overpaying a bit. Like some have said, 2 yrs I can live with |

What would you guys say to signing Jumbo Joe to a 1yr deal to slot in as 3C?
Assuming were not buying anyone out and gonna just wait out the year. Hes a pretty good signing on the cheap. Sure hes old, but hes a grizzled vet, can be an excellent source of knowledge for the young kids and can still win faceoffs. |

I could see any of these guys get traded as part of a package to get a legit 2C.
