I don't hate the idea of spreading them all out and having 3 good lines. The 3rd line needs more players like Kreider who can for check and keep the cycle going.

I guess, but I feel like having a 6.5m winger on the third line is a bit excessive. Its also gonna be a cut on ice time.

What would you guys say to signing Jumbo Joe to a 1yr deal to slot in as 3C?

Assuming were not buying anyone out and gonna just wait out the year. Hes a pretty good signing on the cheap. Sure hes old, but hes a grizzled vet, can be an excellent source of knowledge for the young kids and can still win faceoffs.

No thanks. I think he has no speed, and while he would bring a veteran presence, unsure he still can be productive

On another note, do we think Kreider accepts a switch to RW to play with LaFreniere or Panarin?
- aecliptic

I could see Panarin switching sides, as he has played right wing in the past

He will still get plenty of ice time being the net front presence on the powerplay

Also something Quinn is good at, he does tend to ride the players that are playing well that night. So if players like Kreider are on they will see the ice plenty

Me you and jimmy seem like the only ones who value faceoffs lol you are not wrong

Chytil is destined to be a winger imo

Strome may very well be the only option but we can’t overpay, that’s the part that worries me. Like 4-5 yrs 6.5 mill is probably overpaying a bit. Like some have said, 2 yrs I can live with

Nope, how many times have I written about losing draws in my blog?

What would you guys like to see from this team next year?

1. Stand pat and ride out the expiring contracts?
2. If youre standing pat and Hank retires, does that change your thoughts?

Hayes at 22 and 23 had slightly worse Face Off numbers than Chytil at 19 and 20. Hayes has been a 50% guy for several years now. I'm willing to give Chytil a chance to improve before I move him.

What a (frank)ing concept, a young guy can learn to be better at the dot!!

Joe Thornton now has to be maybe the only player left who played in the 90s...unless Jagr makes another comeback

Kravtsov
Howden
Gauthier

I could see any of these guys get traded as part of a package to get a legit 2C.

there's just something about seeing the Arizona Coyotes playing hockey on the TV that makes me yawn and change the channel
