whats up fellas?
Would anyone consider trading for Getzlaf if we could either send some salary back or part of his salary was retained? One year left on his deal and could be a great vet for the kids & 2C for the time being...
be surprised if anyone likes this idea |

At this point in his career hes no better than Strome as far as production. It would be a lateral move for someone 10 yrs older than Strome. |

Do we have ANY chance at getting Barkov without trading the 1st pick? |
|
|
|
What would you guys like to see from this team next year?
1. Stand pat and ride out the expiring contracts?
2. If youre standing pat and Hank retires, does that change your thoughts? - aecliptic
Stand pat. I wouldn’t be surprised if we were able to trade Smith. He actually played pretty good the 2nd half and in the playoffs. With only 1 year left on the deal we could probably get a 3rd or 4th for him. Might have to retain some money but better than a buyout. |

Would you include Kakko in a trade for Barkov? |

you know one thing about the acquiring RNH idea, they can extend him long term already, so they could possibly make a deal with Edmonton that is contingent on them getting an extension done
as opposed to Barkov who'd be a risky acquisition because he can't get an extension until next summer |

Seems everyone is heavy on the RNH or Cirelli bandwagon. How are they so significantly better than Strome after what we saw last year? |

I look at RNH stats and dont see anything so particularly special that makes him a must have. Actually looks a bit like a lateral move that will cost us assets. |

Noticing a lot of people on arm-chair GM trading for or sending away Kuznetsov to the Rangers. Thoughts? |

Cirelli is only 23 years old, will cost less than Strome next year and beyond, and he is really good at face-offs. |

Are we trading or offer sheeting? Because its likely TBL matches anything we offer if its less than what we’d offer for Strome. |

Do we still bring back Strome on a 1yr bridge deal in that situation? - aecliptic
Tampa has less than $5 mill to sign 7 more players to contracts for next year. Sergachev, Cirelli and Cernak all need raises ---- Tampa can't match much of anything if a team offers an offer sheet. I think Gorton can offer more than other teams in a trade if we are willing to dip into our talent pool.
If we got a player like Cirelli, then I would move Strome's RFA rights for a defenseman like Jake McCabe. That's just me though.... |

Do we really need another D man in the system? Once these contracts expire and another year under his belt, K’Andre should be ready to fill a spot on LD.
How much are you offering? What happens if theres a bidding war? How much is too much? |

Man, this off season will be like an eternity. Especially with waiting on the draft to finally happen. |
