Im going from Eks silly post that NJ gonna offer Subban (plus retained salary) and a 1st to TOR for Nylander. - aecliptic
No way Toronto does that, Subban is on a severe decline |

All I gotta say is if Subban and a 1st is enough to get Nylander from Toronto... we can do a whole lot better than that. - aecliptic
No thanks. We have enough skilled wingers, don’t need another. TOR is a perfect example of having all the talent in the world, but you still need that mix of grit/toughness come playoff time. Our biggest need is to establish a bottom 6 and figure out if we’re keeping Strome or not. Our bottom 6 is just a mix of guys that we put out there and say just go do something. We need an identity. Are they a hitting line? Shut down line? No one knows. |

personally I am still in the camp of lets just add Lafreniere and then at least the first half of next season lets see where this thing goes
lets see how Kakko looks, lets let these kids find their places, playing with two of the best in the game in Panarin and Zib
lots of talk that Barron could also be good enough to play right away too, give Gauthier more time
that just puts me in the bridge Strome camp, or better yet, 1 year Strome camp |

I agree with you. I would rather ride it out this year, get all the contracts off the books without ruining future caps. Give Strome and ADA bridge deals, give some of the long term prospects time to develop, and see what we got. In two years we can decided whether we have the horses to let them walk. |

yes, totally agree, but then I remember Gorton's comments about wanting to be a team that's tougher to play against and I do believe at least one significant move is on the horizon
they will probably move that Carolina pick in a similar way that they moved the Jets pick last year
probably doesn't make that much sense to do too many mock drafts with it |

Exactly, Ive been saying that for a long time, we dont have a bottom 6. I think we need to keep Strome for a bit, we need centers, we dont have a cant miss center in the pipeline!! |

Last few posts is how I would like to start the season. Lemieux and Howden on a line brings some grit, I could see Gorts looking for a 3rd or 4th line guy to fill that role.
Kegger should be gone, would like to see what PDG and Gauthier bring to camp. |

I wonder if Vesey will even get a UFA offer, getting a 3rd rounder for him was a coup |

I remember how happy I was when the Rangers signed him. Man Gilroy and him. Rangers don't have much luck with signing these Hobey Baker caliber college UFAs |
