The fact Gaudreau is a laughable threat on the forecheck is why he won’t be a playoff performer. No D man is scared going for the puck with Gaudreau being the first guy in and if he doesn’t have his space (which is hard to come by in playoffs) you won’t be able to do much if your not willing to join the physical battles (aka Mangiapani being similar in size but more successful, Gaudreau may be like 20 lbs less but still cmon)

I would find a way to get Lindholm playing with Backland and put Reider with JG and Monahan in the 4th line.

Should take note from the girl from "Go Figure", the Disney movie.

I would try and inject some size up front to make life harder on their top 4 D as their bottom pairing is playing <10 minutes a game. Give Buddy a shot and roll these lines.
