Sorry, thought you were serious about that. - JetFuel
Don't get me wrong, if some team offers us the moon for him or if we can upgrade our centers, I would move Laine in a heartbeat. |

GMs usually have analytics and statistic experts to figure the value of extra picks. I would figure Roslovic and our 2nd next year for Strome and Chicago's 3rd or 4th. They are close stats wise but Jack has really only played wing. I hate giving up 1sts since that's something we have a history of doing well on.
The other option might be Gustafsson and a 3rd straight up for Strome. The reason being that even though Gustafsson did have NHL time this year, he only got ice time since our bottom 6 was 2/3rds made up of AHL calibre talent. It might be too much for Strome for Jets fans but I'm sure Chicago fans will say it's not enough. - Napolean-Mennonite
Yeah I highly doubt that gets Strome out of Chicago, I get there's questions around him if his production was just a product of playing with Kane but regardless he does have some production whereas Roslo's are lower and Gustafsson doesn't have anything other then one goal, maybe they do the Roslovic trade without them sending a pick along with Strome due to cap constraints and Roslovic being cheaper to sign then Strome but can't see them doing the Gus trade at all unless the pick is much higher but then it's probably a bit too much for the Jets to part with, I bet Roslo would do well in Chicago. |

Gustafsson is a great prospect but is projected to be a bottom 6 player. He hasn't lit up the AHL yet. He got 22 games in the NHL this year and has 1 goal to show for it. Strome has a 50 point season under his belt but is 3 years older but still holds RFA status. His ceiling is much higher but probably not as high as it once was when he was drafted 3rd overall which was the same draft year we got Connor and Roslovic.
Looking at that draft year, what would the Jets look like if they would of drafted Sebastian Aho instead of Roslovic. We were looking for a 2nd line center in 2015 but Roslovic hasn't really looked like it yet. - Napolean-Mennonite
Could do the past draft hindsight thing forever though, how's Jack Glover working out for the Jets?
Should they have drafted Brayden Point instead?.. Lol
Ugh it is crazy to think what the difference just even ONE different draft pick selection would be making now. |

Even if we drafter Point, Maurice most likely would have started him on the fourth line behind Lowry as a winger.
Maurice - Only coach in the league that develops centers on the wing! |

Yup probably.. Lol
I think Roslovic's development has been handled wrong since he's made the jump to the NHL.
Think he'll give Harkins a shot at center ever?
If Little can't return the perfect job for for him would be player development coach with the Moose with a focus on the development of two way centers. |

If Lowry could produce at an at least 30 point pace in the regular season this team wouldn't of struggled to qualify for the playoffs, they'd be sitting where Dallas is right now.
Yeah I know points aren't everything but for the love of gawd one four game series doesn't change how little he did in the western conference final run or his one point against St. Louis, the guy is so overrated in Jetsville. I just don't see the fascination fans and the local media have with him, really don't think he was missed much in the regular season when he was out with injury aside from the game against SJ where Kane was running around like an idiot, find one or two physical 4th line forwards and he's replaced, other guys can replace him on the PK.
I would much rather have a Reeves type on the 4th line wing then Lowry at 3C. - JetFuel
Look agree to disagree, I have him as one of our best forwards in every playoff he’s played for us going back to series against Anaheim. I was not arguing his regular season. |

This is true!
Laine is difficult to form chemistry with. It does require a special center to bring out Laine's generational talent! - TheUltimateJet
Why, cause he couldn’t make it work with Little? If this is the argument then it holds more true for Connor as he produces less away from 55 than Laine.
It’s amazing how perception of fans is skewed. |

I watched Lowry and Copp get caved in for 6 games straight against O'Reilly last year.
Maybe you missed those games?
One more thing, you and I both dislike Maurice. The difference is that you agree with Maurice that Lowry is great, and Lowry is Maurice's favorite player. It's like you are contradicting yourself. |

But the chemistry is there! Both guys seem to play so well together. Its like MacKinnon and Rantanen or Barkov and Huberdeau. Coaches don't break up duos that look great together. |

Our whole team got beat by St. Louis. The sheifele line was getting dominated so bad and killing us Lowry and Copp had to take that assignment over and they actually slowed the bleeding. Surprised you missed that, it was obvious. Did you watch the round against Calgary and think wheeler and Connor were better than Lowry and Copp there to?

Shiefele and Connor get out scored 75% of the time they play together but some jets fans look at those games and prefer each player getting 2-3 points in the loss than they do winning. It bothers me.
Looks like you love Maurice for keeping this line together even when it clearly contributes to us being a bad team. Like Maurice, you are ranking individual points above the team
Record. |

I don't see what you see with Connor and Scheifele but I'd like to see Roslovic on the RW of those two if Maurice is never going to try Roslovic at center for more then a game here or there, will never happen though, Wheeler would stomp his feet and Maurice is about as uncreative as it gets with his lines. |

When both guys playing together can become 40/40 guys, you don't split that up. |

LOL No wonder the Jets can't win anything in the playoffs if he is one of their best forwards.
BTW. He was a 4th liner in 2018 when the Jets made it to the final 4. Right where most of Lowry critics on this site believe where he belongs. |

When you had Scheifele playing close to 25 minutes a game all season, he was bound to get burned out!

This is exactly what I’m referring to? What the hell does 40/40 mean if they get out scored every game at 5v5 vrs the line they are matched up against. You want a team full of scoring leaders that lose or a team that wins that maybe doesn’t have the same amount in the scoring leaders. It’s like fantasy hockey is more important than winning to you? |

Fourth liner? Did you see where I wrote I’m not arguing playoffs? Did you miss that? I could care less what line he plays on in the regular season. He has absolutely been one of our best forwards in the playoffs every year!!! He consistently is counted on for all important defensive zone face offs and penalty kill.
For people that don’t realize, Regular-season games average about 42.0 total hits for both teams prior to overtime. In the playoffs, that number jumps 36 percent to 57.2 pre-overtime hits per game.
Lowry being our toughest and one of the few guys that hit (don’t come at me with Tanev and his soft as feathers hits) is ridiculously counted on in the playoffs. |
