That was one of the worst periods of flyers hockey I’ve seen in a long time.
This was getting your doors blown off by Ottawa bad.
This was the Czech skating out of his crease during the game bad.

Well, we better get it out now, boys. If we're lucky enough to come back after what we saw so far, we won't be allowed to talk about the "negatives" tomorrow.

So through 4 periods against an inferior team they've played 2 good periods, one terrible period, and one non competitive period. Thats not going to get it done.

Got to match the intensity. Lots of looking around and coasting by the guys in orange.

Honestly the lack of response going down 1 quickly was eerily similar to this team before hiring AV

If Vigneault would have used his timeout he could have stopped the momentum. The first 5 mins were a tire fire, he should have called a timeout and undressed them.

Definitely not Lavi behind the bench anymore! I would like to see AV settle things down quicker as well.

It’s not his job, but maybe Lindblom has a few inspirational words for them.

Afternoon game, first period.

First line was terrible btw.

JVr actually threw a pretty hard check.

How the game is going so far today is why people were talking about the concerns from game 1, despite winning.

Hopefully they get it together in between periods.

Me! I’m the guy who had these concerns because of a terrible second period and a third period that I frankly didn’t think was that great! Me! And he t I get talked down to as Mr. Negative! Me. Know-nothing. Hell, I’ve had concerns since we blew out Tampa because we didn’t face real intensity during the round robin but I was called an idiot for that too.

Obviously it’s not all about me but man do some of you need to be objective.

Guess what gentleman, it’s really game time now!

? Yes, I think a coach should call a timeout when you can see your team floundering. Lavi was amazing at that. AV has a different approach. Worry about your own coach.

Honest question, can you name a period worse in Philly history. Sure, only 2 goals and the PP looked ok, but they couldn’t connect on a single pass. Please, history buffs- worse period?

Feels a lot like the 2012 series against the Devils.

There was a tv timeout....same diff. No need to blow a timeout....they need to kill penalty to start period and start to skate....they have a better team....but you have to show it.

But I had the same concerns. Hope they come out on fire in the second. Important period for sure.

I didn’t know it was possible in the NHL to go 15 minutes without a shot on goal.

What’s the record for most minutes to start a game without a SOG?
