Habs up 2-1 in their series against the Flyers. Who said a 12 seed can't beat a 1 seed? |

Series is 1-1.
MTL really wiped the floor with PHI today though. |

My mistake. Thanks for correcting. Can't keep track of these series, especially after a couple of beers this afternoon. |

Ok Tyler what are giving up to get demko or georgiev ? - Scott1977
I'd go for Georgiev over Demko. I'd even look to get Jarry before Demko.
For Georgiev... Beaudin? |

What about for Koekkoek? Both RFA'S
While Rangers will need the D help, I wouldn't move Beaudin
Maybe more one of our RFA's...Koekkoek or Strome |

Ok, I apologize
I will never ever ever ever ever ever say that Crawford let in a soft goal. I will join you in condemning anyone who had the audacity to say that it was a puck "he should have stopped". Because no such thing exists
If he is ever scored on, it is because of everyone else's fault and/or a perfect shot that George Vezina himself would never have stopped - PatShart
thank you and I appreciate the acknowledgement that this is a team game and some night craw is not going to be able to bail out his mates for 60 minites...
as Ogie would say "your funny" and one dimensional and expert on all things about "soft goals" and real goals... and that's the reason they are down 0-2...good for you..

Pitt most likely trades murry to Detroit and jarry is the starter next year just a huch. |

Tyler I liked your scenario, I cant for the life of me understand why stan who was tickled pink to have landed lehner in the offseason, suddenly trade him and he got nothing truly of value in return.
Looking at Chicago's goalie depth and situation, I'm not trying to crap all over Crawford but taking a more honest assessment of the situation, Crawford is 35 years old had 2 concussions and missed basically 2 seasons , with just those facts he is 1 hit away from a career ending injury.
Maybe in the offseason we don't resign Crawford that is still TBD but from a depth standpoint that seems very alarming.
I don't see many changes to this team do to the cap situation.
Would you maybe trade a defenseman maatta to a team like the devils for a young goalie prospect or a pick ? |

Game three is a do or die scenario. Hopefully some players will play out of their normal element. The Strome and DeBrincat effort better be present.
Hopefully no softies Mr Crawford. I would rather trust Carlsson than Boqvist. And if Sikura for either Strome or DeBrincat, I am OK with it. I do not have much faith in Strome or DeBrincat but we probably go to war with them again. Hagel insertion is one too many new faces but man I do not like what Strome and DeBrincat have given this playoffs |

[quote=Tyler Cameron]I wouldn't say " nothing" is wrong with Crow.
Definitely understandable that his play is not at 100% due to COVID and the lack of reps. Not blaming him for that and I know the dude is trying but just saying the outcome in game #1 would have been closer and the Hawks could have maybe squeezed out a victory last night in regulation if Crow didn't give up that Nosek goal for example.
If the Hawks are to get a win or two this weekend, Crow will need to steal one or both of those game
crazy how the halks end up paying Robin Lehner 2.5 million to beat them

I still think the Hawks find a way to win at least 1 or maybe 2 games, but will still ultimately fall in the series.
It does have some parallels to 2009's series vs the Red Wings where the Hawks lost in 5 to a better, more experienced team. The issue here is the Hawks of 2020 are not the up and coming super deep roster that 2009 team was that required only a few tweaks. And JC is not Q.
But there is some hope this series will give the younger guys experience, and maybe with a few shrewd moves this team could return to more of a quasi-shoo in playoff team and maybe challenge for some Western Conference finals series. I still don't see this as a Cup team in it's current construction or projection. - Budi1782
Agreed. My new motto is this is still a 50/50 lottery team next year. The more young people you bring in the more they are a lottery team.

Debrincat, Strome, and Nylander should all be on trading block - newfguy
The three together probably bring a late #1 and you are eating part of Dinky's contract. |

Ha. It is a little scary.
I hear ya. On paper, Keith and Murphy should be your top pairing, however, they haven't played well consistently enough.
I think Keith will be helping bring along younger players from here on out. I think he and Mitchell could be a strong pairing next year if Mitchell's all-around skills tranlsate well into the NHL game. - Tyler Cameron

I wouldn't mind if Stan was entertaining Strome+ to NYR for Lias Andersson and Georgiev.

OK, let’s revisit. Stan and Lehner’s agent are negotiating. Lehner says no hometown discount, which means at a minimum he wants 7 x $7, which Stan can’t afford nor probably stomach the term. Your club is not making the playoffs. So you lose Lehner for zero at the end of the year. Nobody is offering a #1 draft choice. What do you do at the Trade deadline? |

People have to start understanding trades are going to be even money trades, not $'s for prospects.

I think Stan did well with that trade Lehner is a rental. |
