To play the Islanders who also have a ton of speed and are flat out a better team then MTL. - Flyers1218
Yeah but eliminating these clowns will be fun. |

Time to bench jvr. I’d rather bunny get in there in the bottom group. - Just5
He’s one of about 6 guys that need to get it going....but Christ he’s tough to watch the last couple of games. |

Just can’t agree with you. I love Ghost. But the defensive chemistry isn’t there when he’s in the lineup.
He’s gone in the off season. - Flyers1218
Haven't seen enough to know that. The entire team was a train wreck in game 2. Haag does what he does and plays well to his ability but defending is losing hockey. They need Gostisbehere's puck skills to move the puck and create transition.

And Flyers were at 40.9% overall. So Hagg was right about there.
Ghost is not seeing a minute for the rest of the series. - PT21
If he does find a way back in I wouldn’t be taking Hägg out. The physical play is much needed. |

underwhelming win. crap power play. 4 or 5 posts on their side. we could have easily lost 3 to 1. i would rather have the win than the expected goals but i will bet they won that by 3 to 1. positives, hart, blocked shots, hitting, and team defense ex a few nasty turnovers |

We'll see. If the Flyers give up that territorial edge to a good offensive team, it will be lights out. Haag is not going to be able to do anything to turn that around. |

Montreal is playing well and they play with max effort but they're a limited team. A quality team that plays well on both sides of the puck can and should handle them. Flyers are barely squeaking by. Habs could've easily potted a few tonight. Short term, a win in the series. Long term, very disappointed in a number of players so far and how that effects the Flyers chances as the playoffs move along. - MJL
I don’t disagree. I can’t figure out why our big guns are not playing up to par. They will need those guys to get it going and some pp goals to go anywhere really. I’m very proud of harts play.

You're always linking to analytics. Haag was at 40% CF.
I'd play Gostisbehere next game. - MJL
Yeah. When they sit JVR, Ghost will be the best choice to take his place. |

A series can have a long, long life. Ghost struggled in game 2, but he’s a talented kid. We still may need him going forward. |

I thought this was Coots best game of the 3. He was starting to knock down passes in the offensive zone. Still a series lead, really encouraged Nisky was a lot better tonight. |

I stand by what I said.
Did you see Braun flounder around like last time? You are not going to bring a #5/#6 D to spark an offense. |

The Flyers were much better tonight than in game #2. When a team is being severely outplayed like they were in game 2, with breakdowns, turnovers galore, defenseman are going to be under siege and running around. You're incorrectly insinuating that the addition of Haag made Braun better. It was the overall team play that made Braun better. The Flyers are lacking transition and counter attack play. That's why they aren't generating any offense. Gostisbehere can absolutely help with that.

It would be a tough spot for Farabee but the Flyers aren't getting enough from the bottom 6.

It would be nice, but I don't know who comes out. It won't be anyone from the 4th line - they will stay the same. |

So we had this discussion of coaching after game 2. It’s believed that it’s not a coaching issue and it isn’t BUT even with Bill laying out Alain Vigneault’s resume, it’s still not perfect coaching. Love the structure of our game at even strength. He has kids under 23 on defense, defending men. That’s pretty remarkable. With this said, there aren’t any in game adjustments ever! Not on the power play. Not even Laughton is giving the puck to the other team. I feel like all the guys who go to the crease to score goals are all in the bottom six. James van Riemsdyk, Nick Aube-Kubel, Nate Thompson, Michael Raffl. All these guys are crash their net type of players and they’re separated from the skilled guys in the top six. They’re not being used on the power play. We just go with the same bland offensive approach every game. |
