I think Stetcher would benefit from a night off. So would LE and Beagle. Try to bring the game more up tempo and add some speed to the lineup and offensive ability from the back end. - golfingsince
That’s a fresh perspective. Idk if Greener wants to deviate that much. I do expect a lil juggling. |

As much as I like Edler he’s getting long in the tooth & better as 3rd pairing LHD if someone can step up to the 2nd pairing. I think it’s open & up to OJ & Rathbone. Eddie is ok in that role & still on the PK. 1yr left at 6m but a big shave is coming if he wants to stay & keep playing. 1/2m imo that’s if in JB’s plans or he might retire.
Next season oughta bring more surprises & change as we continue to build for success. |

Canucks take up 25% of the top 28 scorers in the playoffs.Even well-known point producer Chris Tanev is on there. |

Ya, Motte has been terrible, Green should only play his top 6 players big minutes, because the rest of the forwards don't contribute anything. - Reubenkincade
Come on ... He was horrid last night. He’s a nice 4th liner. He efforts well. No way he should be getting more than 10/12 a night. |

That was a good game. Losing is another test to pass to see how they respond. 1st playoff loss ever for this bunch was bound to happen. Bounce back game tonight will be another good game. |

I think the Canucks come back aggressive tonight, but my question is with Marky. He's usually not great on back to backs, and the extended OT doesn't help at all |

I enjoyed the game . I have enjoyed every game so far. Most of the important players have stepped up and showed us what they can do. I like the mix of the team and I thought we could have also won last night just as easily as losing it. The same with game two.
Thankfully most of the young core are playoff players.
St Louis is a top 10 team and for us to be still in the fight going into game four says we are going in the right direction.
This is a list of the players I think have raised their game in the playoffs or kept up what they do in the regular season.
JTM Petey Brock (playing this series scared)
Pearson Bo
Roussel Sutter Zack
Motte Beagle
Edler
Hughes Tanev
Fantenberg Benn (One game)
Myers
Markstrom
I think Benning needs to do some upgrading this off season but I like it over all.

He looked great last night, lots of grins during OT, think he's feeling good. |

Stecher gets forearm to the head.
Perron slashes Marky's glove after whistle.
Canuck tripped at the blue line...
All within a minute or 2 of each other. Refs have put whistle away.
Minute later, Virtanen is given a tripping penalty. Which was a penalty. But to not call the other infractions? hmmm. Canucks pp is too strong. Series management it seems.
Frustrating to see all those examples. But even after all that, Blues were definitely the better team last night. Be interesting to see how Marky plays tonight. Busy night and back to back.
Expect a Vancouver pp very early in the game. A few more overall, now that STL is bak in the series. |

If you don't think Stecher has upped his game I don't think you're watching close enough.

St Louis strategy is dump the puck to Stechers corner and go run him . If you call the weakest link on the D playing well then yes we are watching different games. |

At the end of the day, the Canucks were lucky to even be in OT last night, the Blues dominated 70% of that game.
Outside of the top line of Miller, Boeser & Pettersson the Canucks generated next to nothing offensively. Gotta get Eriksson off that second line, he’s barely a fourth liner at 5 on 5. As fun as it is to see them win, they have a ways to go to beat a much better team when they decide they want it bad enough. |

D is currently the biggest challenge on this team. JB won't be signing UFA's this off season so it's a stop gap trade or go with what's in the system. No easy answer as things stand now. |

I wouldn't mind seeing Motte on Bo's line, he has speed, some physicality and plays well defensively. |

I disagree, lack of offensively talented middle six forwards, without Toffoli, is a bigger issue. They defended ok last night for being so badly outplayed. Tanev played really well last night.
The lineup is chalked full of overpaid declining bottom feeder forwards... |

He’d be better than Eriksson, that’s for sure, but that’s a pretty low bar. |
