Either way, he said the other week (can't find the quote) he's not looking at signing any UFAs, and he feels they have everything in-house right now to push players up and out. - NewYorkNuck
I may have mentioned this TWICE but ya, I don't see it happening either. I like to stir up the henny penny brigade though. BoEseR should be traded

Thought he had a pretty good game myself. Anything stick out to you other than the GWG which was not at all his fault? - neem55
Honestly I missed the OT had to head to bed for early work in the AM.
Stecher was ok but it was clear to me as the game wore on the Blues were trying to expose his lack of size and weaknesses. Where Myers could just brush guys aside Stecher was having trouble handling the bigger bodies of the Blues. Fanty stood out to me. Big hits not timid towards any Blues out there. Pettersson Stood out huge.

So he didn't actually make mistakes or play poorly that you saw, he's just too small for you. Hot take!

One poster wanted to scratch him for tonight's game and says he has low hockey IQ.
The product on the field has been so bad the past 5-6 season I doub't many will miss it lol - LordHumungous
I heard The Rock has bought a football team USFL or whatever it is called and there are a few rumblings it might call on some Canadian teams like the Eskimos and Riders to join the league to play 4 down football in the NFL off season

I think the physicality was taking it's toll on him as the game wore on. He did lose his man on the one goal after getting rocked. I think he'd benefit greatly from a night off as would some others.
It's not so much about playing yourself out of the lineup as it is with trying to keep some guys fresh. We have extra bodies available against an aggressive hard hitting team. No better time to use them then on back to back nights following an OT game.

Stecher is decent in 3rd pairing mins, he gets overworked in the top 4. I think he and old man Edler are going to have issues tonight on a playoff back to back. Both guys are playing more minutes than they should right now.

Edler looked a little slower than usual last night... he will probably be a slug tonight.

I've noticed they're very carefully managing Hughes ice time this series, likely because of the physicality and not wanting him to burn out should they continue in the playoffs.
I hope Edler slowing down doesn't make them throw Hughes to the wolves tonight.

Why did St-Louis 4th line give us problems last night? They were all fresh. The playoffs are a war of attrition, this year more so than most with an off-season before the start of them and a compacted schedule.

Edler is best at ~18-20 minutes. Tonight is going to be tough with another 25+ tonight. He had 28 last night, though QH had 27.
I'm hoping TG shuffles things around a bit. Would like to see fresh legs in the bottom 6: Bailey in for ZM, slide JV up to Bo's line for a bit.

Sure it is. They also lost by a bounce. Could easily be 3-0 right now and we wouldn’t be talking stecher or attrition.
