Ek, why this continued insistence that Lehner was the Hawks best goalie? He was equal at best to Crawford. He was traded instead of Crawford because he didn't have a NMC, and he was younger. His numbers were slightly worse than Crawford's, but he got better goal support. They played about the same number of games when they were both on the team.

Also, considering what the Hawks have on the books for next year and who they still have to sign, there is no way that Lehner can be fit under their cap.

Me thinks Vegas trades MAF and signs Lehner for $6M x 4-5 yrs.
Carolina or Buffalo is a taker on MAF if Vegas retains $2M and gets a 2nd back

Very interesting comment but Fleury is a pretty popular guy in Vegas, it is possible but not as popular from the fan view point. However there is no way they can afford and keep both of them. I think what happens on the Cup run will determine the outcome.

Lehner clearly outplayed Crawford, just check the wins and losses but the Hawks kept coming back to Crawford despite the stats. Lehner wants no part of your Hawks. Crawford can play but he really is inconsistent and basically unreliable.
