I feel like this offseason is going to end up Cirelli or stay the course with Strome. If theres no one available that is so significantly better than Strome to justify giving up assets when we know hes fully capable of playing and keeping up with Panarin. - aecliptic
Domi. He was put on the wing for today’s game. MTL had Kotkoniemi Danault Suzuki down the middle. And they’re pretty weak on the wing |

I dont know if Domi is the kind of personality we want heading our top line though. I want the guy centering Panarin on the ice, not in the penalty box. |

Theyll also try to get someone to overpay for him. Buch and the CAR 1st wont get it done. |

Career high 72 PIM and only 44 this year. I think he’s the perfect guy to center a line like Panarin and Laf, he can stand up for them when needed but I don’t think he necessarily will go looking for it. Gorton said he wanted to add character guys/toughness. Add Frederic and I’d be a very happy guy this offseason. |

I hope the rangers don’t trade away any young players. Let them develop and see what they are. JT Miller exactly what the rangers are looking for. It take awhile for some players to figure it out and he has now. Did he do dumb poop here yes but it part of growing up. He’s been unreal in the playoffs for the Canucks. He’s not really a centre for the Canucks but takes tons of faceoffs.
I’m not saying this to get into a JT debate I’m saying this to let the kids grow up. They gave up on Graves and some what on Hayes. Keep the kids and let them develop . I know all teams are guilty of this always thinking there’s someone out there better than what is in the system |

The only reason why you would trade the young guys is if youre trading for a young proven talent like, for example, Domi. At the end of the day, the draft isnt just about developing your own teams farm system, but its also to develop players to trade because you simply cannot keep them all.
Right now, weve got a bit of a plethora of guys in the system, enough so we can afford to move a couple of guys who may have good value to other teams if it makes us better. |

Give it to them. Domi is also a RFA, MTL night not want to commit long term with Suzuki and Kotkoniemi who are much cheaper. |

I agree. If we can't get Cirelli or someone like Chris Tierney from Ottawa, then I think we are going to stick with Strome. Danault and Domi are both good, but the expense may be prohibitive.
Sadly, Barkov is like Eichel: simply a dream... |

Weber isnt getting any younger, and MTL will want someone to QB the D/PP we could offer ADA and the CAR 1st... they want wingers so we might have to part with Buch, but then try to pull a 2nd round pick from them in return.
Although I have seen mumblings that MTL is gonna go hard for Krug in FA. |

I know MTL is obsessed with getting Lemieux, which isnt much of a sweetener, but they may want Buch... which Im ok with giving up as long as we get a 3rd rounder or something in return. At the end of the day hes a center, and centers are always overpaid for.
What Im toying with on arm-chair is Domi and a 3nd rd pick for DeAngelo, Buch and a 4th rd pick.
Is it overpayment, totally, but this is what it takes.
Hes only a year off from putting up 72 pts and being a +20. Theyll use that as leverage. |

If we were trying to acquire a 24 year old RHD that was on pace for a 65 point season we’d be saying it would take Buch Kravtsov and Nils. But bc we have that 24 year old 65 point defenseman he’s worth nothing compared to the 72 point 25 year old forward. I remember when we were trying to. acquire a RHD a few years back and the costs we were saying it would take, but now suddenly bc he’s a NYR he’s worth ugatz. |

Remember when we first got Lemeuix, he and Domi were going at it and Lemeuix told Domi he f’d his sister. Not sure how that would go as teammates. |

Going to let you all play armchair GM. Interesting deals, don't foresee any of them happening, but like the creativity. |

Panarin Domi Kakko
Chytil Zib Lafreniere
Kreider Barron Kravtsov
Lemeuix Frederic Gauthier
Get me that opening day and I’ll be extremely happy. Buch and Nils for Domi. Frederic for Howden. Do w.e u want adding picks for u to think it’s fair. |

He said Mtl was after Lemieux, but didn't include him in that proposal, so I was wondering if he meant another player.
Lemieux is our new Avery and I'd like to keep him.
And Strome. |

GTFO of here. We give up a top 5 point producing, young right side dman, our top RW (who’s also pretty young) AND a fourth for the center MTL doesn’t want to keep around and a third!?
Idk guys, this seems silly... |

I think DeAngelo has a ton of value. 24 year old, 65 point RHD aren’t to common. |

All Im saying is you dont see a guy like Domi traded 1 for 1 for a defenseman unless that guy is Seth Jones, who you can argue is now one of the top 5, maybe even top 3, players at his position.
Im not knocking his value hes got plenty, just saying when it comes to getting 24 year old 2C, potential 1C, there will almost always be overpay. |
