As far as Im concerned, the only people that see value in Kravtsov are Rangers fans... in the same way that Rangers fans thought the world of Evgeny Grachev. Where is he now? - aecliptic
Grachev was drafted 75th.....Kravtsov 9th.....just slightly different |

Its not at all different... Kravtsov still hasnt played a minute in the NHL and when he did get an invite to camp people werent sure what they had. Hes the only person drafted that year in the top 10 that still hasnt played a minute in the NHL. |

Ok, forget Kravtsov he’s a bust. Pick a player that’s cost controlled that Tampa would want. Lias has no value, Barron+? They can’t take a contract back, I just figured beyond Kakko and Lafreniere, Kravtsov was our best prospect at forward. I’d be fine with trading Nils and keeping ADA if that’s what it took. |

Adam Fox didn’t play a minute in the NHL before we traded for him. |

Only Ranger fans would consider a kid drafted in the top 10 two years ago a bust and suggest he has no trade value. |

Id rather trade ADA and keep Nils. If Nils is a career 35-40 pt guy but plays a complete game on both ends of the ice, Id rather have that than a guy that puts up 65 pts and skates away from a challenge.
Kravtsov, as far as Im concerned, is a buffer for a trade. Let someone else figure that crap out, if he cant bring his game here than let it go. Buch and Kakko havent done anything that special to guarantee them anything, yet the 9th overall pick who supposedly is so talented cant even break camp. What i get from him is hes a typical Russian that feels entitled to a spot in the lineup. |

Depends how you value Kravtsov. I think he’s a middle 6 winger next year that will put around 40 points with the potential to be a top 6 50+ point guy in a few years. He’s cost controlled for 3 years which is what Tampa needs and they get a pick. It’s definitely a trade id consider if I were Tampa. - nyrangers9479
I think everyone is giving up or undervaluing Kravtsov. Not every prospect hits a home run year one, Are you giving up on Jack Hughes and Kakko as well then? |

Hughes and Kakko are getting NHL experience and are putting in time regardless of the fact that both havent had stellar first years. Kravtsov cant even break camp and is too good to put in the time in the AHL. |

Players need time to develop. There’s no straight line to the NHL. I was surprised he didn’t make the team after the preseason he had. He’s an offensive dynamo who needs to work on his complete game. That doesn’t make him worthless. |

He was a kid away from home who struggled. In that regard, he gets a pass to an extent. He came back and worked to get back into somewhat good graces. Jury is out a bit but I still have high hopes for him. |

I think Kravtsov is going to be a very good player, I don’t get the hate for the kid 2 years after he got drafted. Usually guys outside the top 2-3 of a draft don’t make it the first 2 years anyway. |

Yes this year I was wrong and he put up freakish numbers. I hope he continues his torrid pace and wins a Cup, Id love to say I was wrong. I hope he replicates what he did again next year. |

I dont hate him, I just dont think he has much value until he is on the team and producing. I highly doubt Tampa will even entertain that trade cost control or not. |

Killorn is only guy making money that has partial ntc. They have to trade him. Strome is not worth 5 million. Before this season he averaged about 35 points per. He’s 27, so if you’re still waiting to see if he’s hit his potential, you’re nuts. On top of all the stupid minors, how many times were we scored on while he was in the box? I think it’s double figures. I also think about 4 of his goals were empty netters. Strome and DeAngelo need to be gone. DeAngelo is terrible defenseman. We were 5th highest scoring team so I don’t care about his points. Especially since Fox can probably put up similar numbers playing on the top PP. we need better defensive defensemen. And you can’t just throw every middle/bottom 5 mil. Buchnevich has one year left on his deal. What are you paying him. Kreiders extension kicks in next year. I don’t see Chytil as ever being 2c. Domi has been rumored available. I’d much rather try to deal for him. Florida is going to make changes. Offer DeAngelo and Chytil for Barkov. Add whatever necessary on either side. Trade Strome to Buffalo for Montour. Try and move Smith with a sweetener. |

I wish they’d try him at center. Pretty sure he played internation games at center. Moved to wing in khl? |

So after guys get drafted they have no value until they play..... but the draft picks take a fortune to get before the player is drafted? If you believe in Kravtsov nows the time to get him bc he’s ready for the NHL instead of having to wait the 2 years that you have to wait normally for draft picks take to get into the NHL. |

Kratsov is different though. He struggled really bad against AHL level talent and also showed an attitude issue when he just quit and went back to Russia. That isn't helping his value at all. He has high end talent skill but I think he will need to show it first to build up the value. |

Buch didn't exactly light it up either for a few years, and that's after playing a couple seasons in KHL.

Many Russians don't perform in AHL. seems like they feels it below them, especially when. They can play in KHL for bigger bucks. Gotta give him a pass though, he came back and by all accounts looked good at post Covid training camp |

Yea I am not giving up on him. I don't want to trade him at all. Just pointing out for people that want to trade him his full value he had when he was drafted has fallen a bit. He may need to show it at the NHL level to get it back |

Honestly, I don’t really care about the attitude thing. I think that’s maturity. Something he’ll learn more about with the big club.
We need some guys with attitude. Let’s see what he’s got. |
