Awesome seeing Lehner in the handshakes. Disappointing result, but I'm not mad about everything. Actually a lot of good that came from it. A lot of 1 goal games. Hawks were competitive for the most part & great for the youths. We were far from being labeled as favorites, so I'm not heartbroken. Good night guys, be safe out there. |

No injuries that series basically. MAF maybe...Pacioretty missed a game I think. Vegas moves on unscathed. Hawks battled. We don't look as far off as many would have thought |

Welp, I liked the overall effort.
JQ was definitely better than Nylander in this game. Not sure he sticks, but he was far more helpful than the guy he replaced. Provided some grit and some D help tonight.
Boqvist needs more seasoning and doesn't look as fast as advertised at this level |

great to see hockey again...no quit with this guys...
but not enough to play with these guys... - bogiedoc
Very entertaining hockey and exceeded my expectations.
I think we can throw out the Boquvist and Erik Karlsson comparisons. The skill might develop within the next few years, but I don't sense any type of compete level from that kid. |

The Blackhawks season lasted much longer than expected, I can’t be upset with that.
Dach, DeBrincat, Strome, Boqvist and Kubalik all gain some valuable playoff experience.
Now we’re on to the off season. Changes need to be made but not wholesale changes.
There’s lots to be happy about boys. |

Boqvist needs to start with the Hawks next season but on the third pair. Give him some time to gain confidence. |

I guess the thing about the postseason is that it helps with those decisions. Shortcomings really get amplified. Glad the team got in and some players got a taste |

The scores were competitive because of Crawford.
The overall play wasn’t. - StLBravesFan
yes...true on both counts...but that was expected coming in...
hawks are at the bottom defensively...vegas at the top offensively
and it looked that way most of the series...but still no quit with these...
it still comes down to few less posts and bounce here or there and it might 3-2... |

There's something there, he needs time and work to be ready for a series like this |

All I'll say is Boqvist is much better at his age than Leddy was, hands down, yes he needs to gain strength, but it's not even close |

We had some young forwards too. Strome isnt great defensively, and Kubalik was probably overwhelmed. |

He needs to play with a stay at home Dman. Let him play his game or at least what's been advertised. He needs to shoot more, he's got a good shot. And the Hawks need to start moving away from depending on Duncs so much. He really hasn't played well in a long time (which really sucks).

Great effort by the boys. Vegas was just too damn good.
A wacky "end" to the season. Hawks playing playoff hockey gives Stan an idea of what's needed to compete next year. Looking forward to the draft and the offseason.
Thanks guys and gals for sticking around and having some fun during a less-than-ideal time in the world. |

what to do with nylander...they have given him every opportunity to play and figure it out...
with a year left on his EC..stanbow keeps him and see if he finally turns into a prince...

I was one of the guys who preferred to have a 1/8 shot at Lafreniere then beat the Oilers, but I changed my opinion and happy they advanced to play Vegas. I don't think the 4 games against the Oilers was typical playoff hockey but the 5 games against Vegas was and was what the young players needed. They should learn from these 5 games and be better and hungrier the next time - just what we wanted from these playoffs. Yeah, it would have been great if the Hawks beat Vegas but the better team won so there's no shame in that. |

Good experience for those guys - let’s hope they each use it to show dramatic improvement going forward. Not a given.
Every Hawk skater needed to play lots better to win another game or two - and that include those who have tournament experience - Toews, Kane, Keith, Saad....No Hawk skater should be happy with his performance. Including those in suits behind the bench.
On the plus side: they were in every game - an OT loss, two one-goal losses, in the other one through 50 minutes. Crawford. And they didn’t quit. |

First thing to settle is the goaltending. Does Crow sign? For how much? If he does, then you need a credible backup |
