Early on this season when the Flyers were trying to find their game, they struggled against the Isles, although two of the games were close and the Flyers blew a 3rd period lead in one of them.

I was really looking forward to that last game against NYI before the pause when the Flyers were white hot. With the team defense and Hart, they’ll have a shot...they didn’t get to be the one seed for nothing.

What I tell you guys after game two. Didnt have five more goals in them for the whole series.

Some more record stats shown on the NHLN ticker during NHL Tonight last night:
1) Hart is the 2nd youngest goalie in NHL history to record consecutive shutouts in the Playoffs (Harry Lumley, 18yo, with Detroit in 1945).

2) He is 3rd goalie in franchise history to get the back-to-back shutouts.

3) The Habs were shutout for the first time in consecutive games since 2010: Games 1 and 2 of the ECF with the Flyers (not sure if this is only for the Playoffs or for all games played since then).
