I doubt Myers was the sole reason for the Canucks being 5-1. Stats are fun!

I think he'd 100% spend the money if he could, but he has none to spend. He can't even afford to bring back the current roster, and he has to keep space open for the future to sign EP/Hughes.


Sucks that Tryamkin won't be back until like the 2021-2022 season now since he signed back to the KHL for another year. I agree that the team needs a guy who'll punish forwards back there without being bad at NHL hockey.

The bottom 6 and Bo's wingers needs more speed, especially if Jake gets traded. That would leave Motte as the only fast skater in the entire "bottom 8"(Bo's wingers included) along with ZMac. Green talks about wanting an aggressive forecheck and Benning talks about building a team with speed and skill that's hard to play against but yet the team is somehow mediocre in both speed and toughness.

If you sign Markstrom for 5-6 million then who do you absolutely need to bring back?

I imagine Tanev will be brought back at a reasonable price. I am not sure if Benn is winning that 3 RHD spot or not but he is already on contract and OJ will more than likely be sharing duties with Fantenberg. If Benn is not there then you can find a low cost RHD like Schenn.


I like Mottes drive and hustle but cmon he is not a high end fourth liner.

The way Jake has played in the playoffs is nosediving his value, but the way he was performing in the reg. season he was worth 3mil. Had they missed the playoffs he is definitely getting that much.
