Kept the shifts short to pick up the pace, got a couple of greasy goals, Markstrom should wear a cape, kept their foot on the pedal in the 3rd instead of trying to dump and defend. it was mildly entertaining. - we_are_all_canucks

I missed much of the first period
How did Gaudette look?
Limited mins I imagine?? - dbot
Weak on his skates?
He had some energy though. Could have used that last game. He still creates offense better than a pile of guys though. |

He plays wing a hell of a lot better than some other guys on our team. I'm pretty sure he knows the drill in a series like this. - golfingsince
Ya, he is much better than many of the forwards, as I said to the original poster, I was kidding about finding room for him.
He would be a nice addition. |

Marky is first star for me, have these teams switch goalies and it’s a potential blowout in the 1st half of this game. Without him Motte doesn’t even get the chance to be the hero. EP and Hughes looked a lot more confident and determined.
This team might be soft sometimes, but they got heart |

Yeah, I think he’ll be more useful in this series than the Minny one, assuming he’s healthy and not rushing back. I’d hate to see how slow he skates while he’s banged up since he’s already a mediocre skater as is lol. |

Your boy Brock had a fine game today. It was nice to see him in board battles and tough areas battling. Made some good plays.
Hope he didn't mess up his hair tonight. |

I think the line blender gave him a kick in the ass, and yeah it’s nice to see him take hits to make plays and battle for pucks and not sell out like a Maple Leaf would |

Pretty much yup. More engaged & learning the PO’s means more to give. Next game will challenge even more the will to win. |

Huge win last night! Pumped for game six, especially if TT comes back to add a fresh weapon to the attack. Thought the Canucks were able to get back to their game plan of pressuring high a lot more, though I still want them to aerial some outlets a lot more rather than holding on to pucks to make little 3 foot passes. And seeing Motte and some other guys mixing it up with ROR away from the puck and getting under his skin was beautiful and needed
Music to some peoples ears:
“In the third, I thought the big difference is we didn’t sit back,” said Miller. “We played hard. We gapped up. We skated. We had some good looks in their end and made them go 200 feet for their chances.” |

I thought Allen was really good first half of the game as well. Talking heads kept saying Blues could of been up 4,5,6,7-1 bit that could of gone either way.
Tanev, Miller, Horvat and Pettersson all had near misses that Allen missed and he had another handful of great saves.
Blues have been good the past 3 games but Allen was the biggest reason IMO they've been able to come back. |

Allen, and the ROR line just turning out dominating performances. He definitely dragged them into the fight |

Canucks looked like they had given up in the 2nd but after Marky made the save on Barbashev? (The one that hit the linesman) the team realized he was battling for them, and the momentum changed.
I liked the line juggling, I think it made more of an impact to smother O'Reillys line, I think that's what they call "adjustments" or "coaches adapting" which apparently Green was incapable of doing. Who knew??? |

That dude is terrifying. I can only hope Horvats is similar to him when he hits that age/point in his career.
BTW reminder to everyone VANEK for MOTTE 2 years ago. And yeah we should resign him - he's a ideal 4th liner. |

Great comeback by the boys
Anyone still not willing to trade Boeser for a Dman? Remember when a ton of you were all over me lol. His nickname should be houdini for when the going gets tough.
Great team though one more game boys |

Not for Dumba and the other terrible value trades being thrown around. |

The line mixing was great I thought. Kept Petey away from that ROR line at times, and kept the Blues guessing as to how to play each line. Smart move — hopefully it works again next game.
I think it was a quote from Schenn I read that he felt they were pressuring them more in corners to disrupt their cycle — another adjustment

That was a heck of a game! I"ve been in bed by 8pm since getting home but made it most of the way through the 3rd. The dog was getting pissed off because he was trying to sleep but we were both cheering the whole time. Fun night! |

It's meant to be read in a particular tone. Imagine someone repeating what you say in an annoying tone.
