Normally I’m not big on changing the line up a lot especially when it’s 2-2.
This time though we need a spark & fresh energy & more from the bottom 6. Bailey is big & the fastest in the AHL & has NHL experience so slot him in. Gaudette has watched long enough & we can use his offence. A few players could draw out. |

I’m sure it went both ways and in every other series under way. Everyone knows that playoff reffing is a) different from regular season and b) horribly inconsistent.
Complain away if it makes you feel better, but it isn’t going to change. - 1970vintage

Didn’t someone comeback from an 0-3 deficit in recent history?
Edit: 2014 Kings came back to beat San Jose and 2010 the Flyers came back to beat Boston. |

The difference maker is getting something, anything from the bottom 6. - Marwood
Here I would agree. The third lines have scored some of the biggest goals in SCF history. Step up. |

The Caps did it against CBJ - VANTEL
It’s only happened four times in NHL history from what I just read...
1942 Stanley Cup Finals~ Toronto Maple Leafs^* Detroit Red Wings Only time in the Stanley Cup Finals. Also the only time the comeback was completed at home
1975 Stanley Cup Quarterfinals New York Islanders Pittsburgh Penguins Won 8 games while facing elimination this playoff year.
2010 Conference Semifinals Philadelphia Flyers Boston Bruins Also overcame 3–0 deficit in the 7th game
2014 First Round Los Angeles Kings* San Jose Sharks |

You seem to have an opinion on all subjects here so it would nice to get a straight answer from you. Having not played hockey at a level not much better than a beer league, but having coached highly skilled youth soccer, I can tell you that skilled soccer players can make stronger, faster and bigger foes look silly on a good field but not so much on a greasy field.
If the same applies to hockey I would expect our best players, Quinn and Petey, given their age, experience and physical gifts, might be at a significant disadvantage against a big strong team like St. Louis Blues. No excuses, just wondering if this is a big factor in hockey when younger players who rely on there skills clash with a bigger, older team like the Blues. I am pretty sure that this probably falls under the learning experience category that extra strength, will and determination is needed to succeed. From my experience with soccer players, this is best learned by playing against superior opponents.
So the question is, does poor ice, if it indeed is as bad as it looked last night, take away from much of the competitive advantages players like Petey and Quinn possess? - Downbar

I haven’t put it on the reffing. Pointing out something shouldn’t disturb you. Have I blamed the refs for the Blues playing well & taking it to us? - Nighthawk
Ultimately you have to beat the refs to win as well. If folks don't believe reffing/influence is a factor they really have no business watching the game. The Blues are the superior physical team that much is apparent...but reffing is a factor. Not 100% but a factor. It's about timely calls not the amount of PP's teams get. But great teams can beat the refs and the opponents...the Nucks just aren't there yet. Soon. |

Context of shot attempts/shots does not factor most of this series Blues have been playing from behind trying to catch up. Also, Canucks are not a possession dominate team in general. Finally how many goals 5v5 did Blues score to dominate? |

Just a tool to backup what we’re seeing the past two games. Canucks need to be better at even strength, not a mystery |

Thanks for the contribution since you're not going to get much from who you asked, as warned, I'll add to it for you. It can make a difference. Though Carol told us its been the same ice conditions for all the game times. I'd say you have a point on skill vs bulldog play but if you look at the PP they are moving the puck around. They just got predictable and Blues blanked them in game 4. |
