Montreal played basically two periods short one of their best players and still won.

This is what frustrates me the most. We had the momentum from that incident. Got two huge goals, major game swing. Then just hand it back to them. Same thing after the FaraBee goal. We gave this game to them imo |

If that is where our fait is then we are in a dangerous territory especially if none of G, Couturier , TK, or Hayes are not scoring. There should be no reason why not to insert JVR next game - 3flyerkids
I can’t believe Jake is doing all our scoring. Mind you, best hands on the team easily but he’s not a force alone. I’m sorry, top ten center Sean Couturier needs to create offense and score and don’t get me started on our Captain. |

They’ve been way too passive in the forecheck this series. Montreal has had way too many easy exits and transitions out of their end. - Sublime55
Absolutely. Flyers need to press the attack and get on their defense. You win by attacking with the puck in this league, not by defending. When you defend more, you lose.

Overall a decent game. Voracek was great, Hayes had everything but the finish. Giroux has been terrible, pretty much since the restart, for what is expected from him, Konecny was awful, Braun was his usual bad, and Laughton has been terrible this whole series. Coots has been hot and cold, looked right in it tonight. Bad game for Hart, two softies, his worst game by far. The coach usually presses the right buttons, but he missed on Hart...but who wouldn’t with the shutout streak? Also, sending out Haag and Braun after tying it? Missed opportunity tonight but they need to pick themselves up and dust themselves off after an overall mediocre performance. Hart should rebound and I expect him to. |

One of G, Coots, or Voracek have been on the ice for EVERY goal scored by the Flyers this series. |

Other than the PP, there was nothing decent about their performance tonight overall. It was underwhelming. Bad decision making, bad penalties, lack of intensity in key moments of the game and bad goaltending make for poor games. |

Just look at the hits to see that this was a different game. |

Yep, whole lotta no shows. JVR needs to return, and maybe insert Frost. |

The constants within the Flyers attack game has always been the Power Play and the forcheck. The power play showed up, the forcheck is A-wall. |

I cant believe he is the leading goal scorer in this series. Giroux had a couple assists tonight and seems to be getting a little better. Couturier has a couple tap ins this series and missed. Just seems like he is not engaged ( until the end of the game)
Where has Laughton been, he looked great during the round robin. He has not been any kind of factor . We need him forechecking .

No Frost will be inserted, I assure you.
50-50 on JVR. Remember we miss him the most on the pp, and we scored 3 goals there today.

First pp did pretty well tonight. Seems like the right move to me putting them out there at that moment. You might have an argument for putting Hayes at the other point rather than Niskanen, but I don’t think that’s where he’s really most effective. |

Oh well I’m sure the Ghost of Fred Shero was out there too. That’s all that matters, the fact they were standing out there. |

Sending out Hagg and Braun ok, sending them Out with the Thompson line big mistake. But AV has pushed a lot of right buttons to date. Still a young team they need to learn to close it out |

I don’t dislike Joel Farabee. He has a promising future but the situation the Flyers are in, I trust the experience for the small details. |

We had premium looks and chances, just didn’t finish. That coupled with a weak game by Hart’s standards equals a loss. Not the end of the world. I would have tried Frost tonight, with the series 3-1 lead, to see what he could do...but he is a huge defensive liability. Probably not going in now, in this series anyway.

Flyers were just coming off of a PP. Pretty typical to send out your veteran top line in that situation. Players need to play.

When is the last time Frost played an NHL game? When he did, he looked okay but not ready. Why is he ready now?

Plenty of experience on the ice at the time. I just don’t see who else you’d want out there instead of him. Maybe TK if he wasn’t playing like hot garbage? |

While I agree that line was not doing well all night. Then add the 3rd D pair and you got what you got. The Habs were pushing all night, they had no give up, my opinion it was the wrong call |
