Exactly. I give the Habs credit for the fact that they play with max effort and intensity and they play well defensively. They have some defenseman who are hard to play against. However they are limited as a team. The have very little offensive firepower. Match their intensity and work ethic and they are a very beatable team. The Flyers have made this series more difficult that it should've been.

Yes. Reading sports net last nogf Montreal dominated and price was unreal. It wasn’t due to mistakes by the flyers at all.

Last game, habs just played terrible and that’s why they won. Funny spin. Habs are playing well and deserve credit but the flyers game last night was sloppy defensively

Really hoping that we can close it out next game. This is a young team and if Montreal wins the next one, confidence might get low for a game
7. Really would like the young guys to get some second round experience

I didn’t see the hit by niskanen on gally. Thought it was a stick or something in a scrum. I’ll have by l re watch that

Crosscheck hit him in the face. I haven't found a clear replay of the hit either.

Early reports say he has a broken jaw.

I would be surprised if he had a broken jaw. The injury certainly did not impede his ability to talk.

Really. I certainly didn’t see that. After coots too that late hit the habs player tried to cross check him in the face. Series getting dirty but not unexpected. I’m sure niskanen will get 20 games because he’s a flyer.

I'm just really disappointed overall in the veteran top players on this team. Niskanen's effort last night on the shorthanded goal was just pitiful. He's been a disappointment overall this post season. Giroux while he has made some passes on the PP, won some faceoffs and played well away from the puck, has not been nearly good enough offensively. If he was a 3rd line center, his 5 on 5 play would be fine but he's not. He's a top offensive player on the team. Same goes for Couturier. Konecny, Hayes, Laughton and Braun all need to be much better.
Unless Hart can carry them, this team has no chance of making a deep run playing they way they currently are.

Yes, cheap shot by Niskanen. Gallagher gets under players skin.

Been lots of liberties taken both ways. Weber has been accosting guys behind the play and threw Hayes down and ripped his helmet off when a solid check would have sufficed.

Weber simply outmuscled Hayes.

He's awesome.

Should have been an unsporstmanlike conduct. Suzuki said he did it without thinking but that he shouldn't have done something like that.

If anything, I'm more surprised the Flyers players let it slide.

Meh, wasn't much worse than plenty of other stuff happening in the game.

There were worse things that were missed by the refs.... then again Chris Lee is horrible at his job so I'm not surprised.

It's really not a big deal. I don't want to see a penalty called on stuff like that.

I definitely felt the need to reach through the screen and “clean” Suzuki’s visor for him...forgot which goalie is his teammate maybe. Didn’t another player try it also?

Sure. Could have been a penalty.

But Weber has the Chris Pronger immunity thing.

Don't you wish we could all get along as good as Danault and Farabee?

Yeah.

But that's low level stuff designed to get under the skin of the Flyers, especially. Just ignore it. Alert the refs, and wait for the calls.

Other than Weber, who should count as two, that team has no one remotely intimidating. If their forwards get into a physical brawl with our D, I am betting on the latter. Its also playing into the hands of the other team.

The Canadiens overall had two significant penalty calls go against them. The major _game should have been a 2+2. I think we scored on the 5th minute, so thats significant. Then there is the loss of Kotkaniemi.

The Nisky-Gallagher thing, which I frankly did not even see, should have been a 2+2. If it indeed was a cross-check to the face, it could have been a major, depending on the circumstances.

Wow. You’ve been disappointed with Matt Niskanen this season? Post season, totally get it, but this season?

Two moments that ruined the game for me moving forward last night. The obvious shorthanded goal. The Myers four minute major. Both self inflicted. Both stupid. Both hurt us in a major way.

I still haven’t seen a better camera angle on that play.
