Looks like 22 unless the Flames can pull out the last 2 games, if the pick isn't included in a deal I'm hoping for a Center, either one of Zary, Brisson or Khusnutdinov - KreiderBomb
If they keep the pick I want that last guy you mentioned because I want to hear Sam pronounce that name regularly |

Rangers don't have anything like him, every team needs a Lemieux and we're not breaking the bank on him so why even bother ? - KreiderBomb
I'm really hoping Lemieux can become our Tom Wilson, not sure he can play as well though. As much as I despise Wilson, he's turned into a decent hockey player. Here's the Strome comparison, how much of that is playing with Ovie? |

Tom Wilson is so damn big and he has such a lack of regard for human life that everything he hits he destroys.
Like an American drago
He also has really good hands. Except on this series vs the Islanders. He seems to have blown some great opportunities |

I can't think of a more skilled player that brings what he brings in the league right now. |

Yeah, he's a wrecking ball.
So glad I don't bet on sports because I poop the bed in our playoff pool this year:
Round One:
Flyers
Columbus Torts
Craps
Canes
Vegas
Avs
Flames
Blues
This was nearly identical to what everyone else chose except CBJ/TBL was pretty evenly split, a few guys picked Vancouver and one guy had Boston. |

You know that Islander pick that Ottawa has will be after the Rangers pick. Hopefully it’s not 31. But they have 4 second rounders. Maybe the Rangers can trade down with them and pick up a 2nd rounder that they don’t have. |

We've been saying that for years and he's definitely not in Biden's company yet. |

Kadri would be a good comp.
If Tyson Barrie brought back Kadri, I would think ADA would bring back something exactly the same. |

Well that would use their draft picks in 2021 and beyond |

I really don’t like the team going down that avenue because I just always assume the team will match and also make the team that gave the offer wait the entire week before they do it, and then that team can’t do any other business while they wait.
It’s a fruitless activity |

Thats honestly one of the most ridiculous reasons why you wouldnt trade for one of the best centers in the world whos gonna be 25 in September. - aecliptic
Can't afford him was the reason..... Keeping home grown players and letting them develop and using up Their ELCs is what builds a longtime winner |

The Russian goalie Askarov is going to be intriguing to see where he goes. Would Ottawa take him at 5 to keep him from Buffalo at 8 or Carolina at 13? |

No one is saying having Barkov wouldn't be great. But, who are we losing when he has to be signed to the 2nd largest contract on the team? |

As good as Barkov is, I kind of expect Lafreniere to be better.
And if down the line Barkov makes it to becoming a UFA, certainly give him a call. |

Jan, I almost forgot to ask...
Has there been any information given about Fast’s injury since they left the bubble? - Tonybere
Nope, I haven't seen one word on it |

Let's hold off anointing Lafreniere like that, long way to go. Barkov is excellent in all three zones, complete player, one of the best in the league. I would ecstatic if Lafreniere became Barkov. |

Barkov would be incredible but since discussions on an extension can't happen until next July you would be trading the wonderkid on a 3 yr ELC for 2 years of Barkov with hope of resigning at an amount that would probably force Zibanejad out |

Yep. Not something they would even remotely consider.
I have expectations that Lafreniere will be a superstar.
Especially playing with the gifted offensive weapons this team has.
