Yes he has, we moved on from Hags, Fast is no Hags so no debate IMO - KreiderBomb
You're right. Fast is far better than Hags ever was. Don't understand how anyone can see differently. Hags would make more errors in a single shift than Quickie does in an entire game. |

Gonna have to be blown away, he was a big part of the step forward we took and it was a step forward considering how young we are. - KreiderBomb
But then what do we do with Trouba, Fox, Tony D and Lundkvist on the right side. Especially if they signed Tony D To an 8 year deal like you want. |

Well that's the thing. When he is retweeting things that are fringe it get's real dicey. Jimmy's example of trump retweeting the "white power" chant is a good example. When you operate in an edgy place you are bound to get burned intentional or not. I don't care what Tony does but I think it is foolish to think the Rangers aren't thinking about it. - JRR1285
Trump is a moron who should have had his twitter taken away by now, while I think he gets attacked and blamed for absolutely everything under the sun and attacked by the media on a daily basis he brings it on himself, he could have spent the last 4 years serving poopburgers but instead can't stop vomiting nonsense, this is not Tony, comparing them because Tony is a republican is ridiculous |

From a purely hockey and business sense i think it is worth considering if he is redundant with fox, trouba, miller, and lundkvist, 3 of which on ELCs. He just so happens to be the one up for a new contract and if he can net us a true youngish center for Panarin and whoever he plays with i am all for it. The other stuff is worth considering as well, but as i've mentioned previously it is only a component |

Tony goes to the left side with Trouba, he has the most mobility
ADA-Trouba
Lindgren-Fox
Miller-Lundkvist
That 6 is exciting |

This is the kinda stuff that makes me want to just sell high on him and move on. We're loaded in RD and can use the upgrade elsewhere. I dont care he is a Trump supporter...BUT I do care that he is obnoxiously vocal about it to the point he argues with fans on a regular basis. You cant help but think it will eventually spill into the locker room and for a young team turning the corner that needs to be avoided at all costs. You could argue if Trump loses it will just naturally melt away but If Trump wins again in November the distraction will only get worse - King Hen-rik Roll’d
The amount of athletes speaking about politics is 100-1 against Trump, so if Tony, like millions of others, feels the need to voice his opinion, then who cares. God knows the vitriol spewing from others mouths makes Tony's posts seem like nothing. I hate actors, musicians, and athletes talking politics, but unless the Left leaning , Trump hating posts stop , then Tony can keep doing it as well |

To me this is much more of a reason to only give Tony D Two years instead of 8 to see how he does on the left side. |

If we are going to trade him, may be best to do it before the election in November. If things don't go Trumps way he may go over the edge and lose all value - TPC
Absolutely. I mentioned this earlier. I wonder if NYR will take the risk of Trump mania blowing over if he loses the election vs. it blowing up more if he wins the election. and again.... I dont care who is a Trump supporter. 1/2 the team could be Trump supporters for all I care BUT its how you handle dealing with the fans and the PR that comes with it..... and as of now he treading on dangerous ground especially when you couple the off-ice issues from his past.
If it comes down to it eventually.... he wont be the 1st or the last to have shot his career in the foot over a lack of discipline or professionalism. I just dont want him to be Rangers property if that ever happens

Hags had 130 points in 266 games Fast has 147 in 422 and Fast got to play in the top 6 far too much despite not putting up points. |

I don't care.
What he says isn't beyond the pale, and the other side has free reign to say what they want without any consequences.
Same rules for both sides |

I have faith that even if they bridge him he'll get a long term deal, he's heading to elite level, 4th amongst defensemen in points, we have a few years at least before Lundkvist is NHL ready, 1 more year in the SHL |

Like you said. He’s outnumbered 100–1.
Why root for him to keep fighting.
He’s gonna lose. |

Good point, but the isles, Vegas have great 4th lines, and they are making them very difficult to beat. Gotta spend some $$ in supttort/role players. NYR 3rd/4th lines can't be a carousel for players in the dog house |

I am actually interested in turning him into a forward if they keep him long term. Let him just focus on offense and his physical play |

That's exactly why I root for him. What really scares me is what happens when Trump wins, because let's be honest, Sleepy Joe ain't winning Shiiit! This country better accept the election results and move on and start healing |

Completely Agree with you. He should be free to speak his mind in "posts"..... BUT "arguing with fans" in defense of his posts is where its a PR nightmare for a billion dollar organization and possible locker room full of young impressionable millionnaire kids

Agree with not getting in arguments with the fans. He should speak his mind and ignore the back n forth with the fans |

False equivalency. For instance, posting something dogwhistling racist idealogies (whether intentionally or unintentionally) is not the same as say, "i want everyone to have access to affordable healthcare" or "black lives matter". But let's say another athlete posts something about being violent towards a trump supporter, that WOULD NOT be ok. I just don't see any examples of that happening in the real world. I honestly could be missing them, but i like to think im pretty plugged in.
