And when the other team did score, they were lucky bounces. But now, yikes. lol

Yes. So awesome to watch. And they could control the puck throughout their own line changes. 10 plus passes in a row, etc. |

Right away I thought that Gustafsson likely a minster of bad defense in the second period collapse. But he is only -1 and no one is worse than -2...Bad goaltending you say........

People just don't understand we didn't have the horses, like we didn't in 2011, 2012, 2016, 2017 and 2020. This illusion some guy from the AHL was going to save the Hawks playoffs is just that. We need experience, check, and probably a few more horses, and strength which will come with age - BetweenTheDots
And if they think our young horses are comparable to '08 they are delusional.

Well... when I went to sleep it was 3-0 Calgary. Seems like the game took a bit of a turn in favor of Dallas.
Seven unanswered goals... wow.
Just read a comment comparing this game to the 2019 Texans-Chiefs game - seems accurate. |

IN my view this should have been a heavier suspension.
Deliberate attempt to injure using his stick as a weapon. Yes Gal gave him a weak cross check. And Nis decided to retaliate. How the hell the refs missed this...that should have been 5 min and game. |

the early 2 and 3 goal lead the most dangerous lead in hockey...amazing how nay comebacks and losses result from them...

I don’t know what it says about the evolution of the game (or of me), but back in the 50s / 60s, a two goal lead was almost always “game over”.
At least, that’s how I remember it.
Faster game today? Ubiquitous slap shots and one timers with (slightly) curved sticks? More players at the net screening goalies, more deflections?
Only partially offset by better equipment leading to more blocked shots and goalie stops.
A packed defense back in the day could be impenetrable.
