Just thinking back to Wang and his project using his own money to redo the NVMC and they poop canned it and how many years and money spent later are they dealing with an irrelevant Arena and still “talking” about developement. How much tax revenue and jobs would Nassau have gotten and lost now because of the politics and the politicians’ ineptitude. Just a total (frank)ing joke.

How about the Billionaire giving the county 350 billion dollars to renovate their Arena that was inadequate for years and for this wanted the development rights on the same property. So he fixes your shat hole for 350 billion of his own money but can’t develop or make money doing this. Just makes no sense. The project would have been done. It would have produces 100’s of jobs during a recession and it gets voted down.

Oh yeah his original proposal asked for a lot but that was for negotiations and you settle for less. But NC wouldn’t have approved anything at that point because of politics.

Yeah, I’m glad he bought them and kept them here but other than that he was a hands on owner that would have been a better absentee owner. Who should of hired a President of Hockey Ops. and let the hockey decisions be made by him or her.
Maybe then we wouldn’t have had 10 years of Snow and the team becoming a laughing stock.
I’m so happy with M and L and the people they placed in power and how much the Organization has progressed and in turn gotten positive results on the ice.
The Belmont USB Arena is the final step to A total transformation back to respect.
Now we just need to get that 5th cup.

He did a lot of good in his time on the Island for sure iMO. Saved the Isles from moving, saved St. Dominick's HS, gave tons of money to hospitals..etc. I am certainly glad we have the new ownership, and all that comes with it.. but I don't hate Wang for what he did.. he was in way over his head for sure... (so was snow).
