Man, they couldn't even make the Dukes of Hazzard remake again. There's a confederate flag(even though they're making fun of it), and blackface, sort of, certainly close enough for today's outrage culture to freak out about. - Wetbandit1
PC has killed this country.
And I’m not sure it will ever recover. Last week my wife mentioned they were considering not teaching English in schools because it connotes racism.

How the hell can they not teach English?
Most racism starts in the home, imo. |

You'll go to traffic court, you'll plead guilty to a lesser offense and pay a fine.
Although, Cheektowaga has been known to be a very busy court, so you may not even have to show up (happened to me last year) |

So, I don't know all the intricacies of the CAP rules, but I have heard some banter in the media about teams who may be "up against it" carry a roster less than the maximum roster size in order to remain compliant, so I have to assume that the Sabres could carry less than the 23 man active roster as well. They have to carry a minimum of 20 for games ... 12+6+2 gets them there. Of course, that leaves them open to shortages in the event of in-game injuries. Maybe carry Gilmour as 21st who can play both in an emergency...$700k.

Is 71M our projected number for the internal cap? If we could spare an extra 2/2.5 there bring back Lockport Larry and have ruttu and asplund battle it out/be the extra forward and Gilmore 7th d. 22 man roster at roughly 75M. Larry’s line time play 3B/defensive role to Cozens 3A offensive role. I know it’s been discussed he doesn’t “want” to come back, but who knows. |

I could live with this. Personally, I am not an Asplund fan. I'd bump Routs down to the 4th and add FA Mikael Granlund to the middle six somewhere. I don't care where, lines are fluid. A lot of NHLers can play multiple positions. All these moves is probably asking WAY too much, but I would love to see it. |

English is a standard requirement in ALL states here are NYS requirements. A district cannot cancel English on its own so I'm not sure what your wife was talking about unless she works for the Governor or a governor and Board of Regents or a legisture.
New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy
student graduating
The Common Core Learning Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy define general, cross-disciplinary literacy expectations that must be met for students (Standards) and characteristics of CCLS instruction. The Standards are organized into four overlapping strands: Reading, Writing, Language and Speaking/Listening. Because the CCLS present an integrated model of literacy, the Standards mutually inform one another.

Download: Appendix A: Common Core Standards for ELA/Literacy: Supporting Research and Glossary
Download: Appendix B: Common Core Standards for ELA/Literacy: Text Exemplars and Sample Performance Tasks
Download: Appendix C: Common Core Standards for ELA/Literacy: Samples of Student Writing
A successful integration of the Standards will provide students with necessary fluency, comprehension, analytic and communication skills necessary to be on track for college- and career-readiness. The integration of the Standards into instruction will also require instructional shifts, which are born out in the specific fluency, comprehension, analytic and communication expectations stated in the Standards.
As a result of CCLS-aligned instructions, Students will readily undertake the close, attentive reading that is at the heart of understanding and enjoying complex works of literature. They will habitually perform the critical reading necessary to pick carefully through the staggering amount of information available today in print and digitally. They will actively seek the wide, deep, and thoughtful engagement with high-quality literary and informational texts that builds knowledge, enlarges experience, and broadens worldviews.
They reflexively demonstrate the cogent reasoning and use of evidence that is essential to both private deliberation and responsible citizenship in a democratic republic. In short, students who meet the Standards develop the skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening that are the foundation for any creative and purposeful expression in language.
Instructional Shifts Demanded by the Common Core Learning Standards in ELA/Literacy
Shift 1 Pre-K-5, Balancing Informational & Literary Texts
Shift 2 6-12, Knowledge in the Disciplines
Shift 3 Staircase of Complexity
Shift 4 Text-based Answers
Shift 5 Writing from Sources

I'd love for the Sabres to develop and publicize their Organizational
Objective
Focused Vision of Success
Cultural Imperatives, Beliefs and Values
Desired Style of Play
How Hockey Operations will fulfill the above
- System of Play
- Desired Player Characteristics
- Player Evaluation Methods, System
- Development Process
I still don't know what this team is all about. In 9 years, it isn't apparent to me that they have any of the top items on the list above defined. Seems they have centered the focus on the Player Evaluations portion almost exclusively. Yet, without those top level items clearly defined, it has resembled getting in the car and driving to an unknown destination without a map or compass...resulting in being and staying lost.
Win, Lean, Efficent, Effective, Economical are friggin platitudes...nothing of substance.

Jesus Christ she was just making a comment. She read an article online and told me about it. She’s not a teacher, doesn’t work for the governor and didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Pushing racist disinformation on here is what separates this site from most other Sabres discussion boards.
I could post a lot of articles about Trump and money laundering with the Russians which are 90% true but I don't, I could post the tapes that came out last night from his sister that said he was a lying piece of crap and had others take his SAT's, has no care for God, and plays his sap base but I don't because I try to keep this civil until others post BS like yours.
