I still fail to see what making the playoffs this year accomplishes. There are 22 teams golfing with the Sabres right now.

Instead we get another crack at a blue chip prospect in a year we were never winning a cup anyways.

There are realistically a few teams each year with a shot at the cup, the Sabres were not one of those teams.
