Hallander projects as a pretty good bottom 6 forward. Out producing Kapanen at the same ages in their development paths.
- Pegullaville
I'd be impressed if Hallander became a better NHLer. I think he's just another Larry. Not that he can't be useful.

Yeah you can 💯 scratch the flames, the guy who nixed the deal in the first place is in a higher position there. No way that would slide. |

I see him going to duck for Rickard Rakell they get the RHD they wanted and younger and 40pts on the blue line
We get a guy that could replace sam if moved or help us on the 2nd line at right wing

The Pens blogger makes a good point that I should have thought of when arguing that nobody should be getting a medal for making the first trade. What was their rush? Why not see what the current playoff teams would offer for the draft pick?

He's not worth his next contract and Replaceable - gerbe75pts
So before he gets his new contract, he's not worth whatever it may be. And he's replaceable. Like, he's a replacement level player? Or there are players better than him?
While the first would be unequivocally false, the second is obviously true. This can be said about virtually all players.
I haven't seen a single argument based in facts and statistics that support your lows on Reinhart. It's all emotion with you, just like the other guy. Where you been, Boss. |

You still have yet to give a resonable argument as to who can replace the 60 points on that line.
Okposo was supposed to do it, Molson was supposed to do it. Sheary was supposed to do it. Vesey was goig to put up points with Jack, so was Nylander and so on and so on.
Kahun, maybe he can but we dont know how good he actually is and id like to not just toss guys in on the first line that don't deserve it.
The SAbres have a good thing going instead of just creating a new hole how about add to it.
Plus Jack is pretty much going to be out the door is the Sabres are not good this year so id rather not trade the only guy hes really found sustained success with.

How much do you think Sam will get at most 5m-6m for if not bye ....
He's a 50 point winger that has never scored 30 + goals hes basically buffalo's own Sam Gagner

Montour/Risto, Mitts, Thompson, 2021 first for Monahan and Mangiapane
Reinhart to Minnesota for Brodin.
Sign Jesper Fast and Khudobin in FA
Olofsson-Eichel-Kahun
Skinner-Monahan-Mangiapane
Mojo-Cozens-Fast
Ruotsalinen-Asplund-Okposo
Dahlin-Miller
Brodin-Joker

This is just flat wrong.
https://frozenpool.dobber...players/alexander-kerfoot - ImThatGuy
Kerfoot averaged 13 minutes of ice time at even strength and produced 8 goals and 25 total points while Johnsson also averaged 13 minutes of ice time at even strength and produced 3 goals and 15 points.
Using their per 60 rates, Kerfoot was at 1.77 points per 60 and Johnsson was at 1.59 points per 60.
That puts Kerfoot 161st out of 600 and Johnsson 211th out of 600.
Kerfoot received 58% offensive zone starts while Johnsson received 73% offensive zone starts.
You would need to give both players, especially if they are on the same line, more offensive zone starts to be able to produce at the middling level they produce currently.
Did I also mention they make a combined $6.9M for the next 3 seasons?
If the Sabres are going to try and poach a player from the Leafs due to them wanting to clear cap, they should be looking at Mikheyev, as Pachla has pointed out previously. |

So Reinhart = Sam Gagner
Skinner = Elite level.
Even though Skinner has never had a 70 point season. And Reinharts career high in points is better than Skinners.......
Skinner multiple sub 40 point seasons.
Reinhart - 0 sub 40 point seasons. |

You must be referring to the same Sam Gagne that broke 50 points once in his 28 year old season.
Cause the guy I'm talking about waited until his 21 year old season, then scored 15 points more than Gagne's career high the following year, and was on track to score 10 points more than Gagne's career high in his 23 year old season.
Calling Sam a 50 point winger is calling Kahun a 30 point winger, and god DAMN am i (frank)ING PUMPED to put a 30 point winger on Jack's side. |

No thank you to the bolded above. There are other options on defense I would rather explore. He's going to get a pay day after next season. |
