Speaking of trust with young guys, I noticed my boi
BigTuna-Shotgun Jake the snake Virtanen (?too much) out there defending the 1 goal lead late in the 3rd period.
I never lost the faith in him and he had a great game last night.
It only took a couple warm up games to get going
I'm hoping this allows him to stay in the top 6 going forward. - dbot
You forgot Jake the Flake.
Virtanen is Will Hunting of Goodwill Hunting. He has all the support and people trying to help him and all he wants to do is party and go against the flow.
Kid is very talented and the people here love him. If he could get his sh1t together and be a consistent player it would be a huge relief to the top 6. If Jake could play like he played the last four periods then we would have the kid we hoped we drafted.
I feel like it’s going to be a WWF cage match type game. Few if any penalties, low scoring “playoff” hockey. Can Markstrom win a 2-1 game? We shall see! I’m off today, so I’ll be live posting my ridiculous takes all night

He's just immature still that's why he starts slow because it takes a little more focus to stand out and produce. Having patience on JV will pay out in the end. His skill set is not easily found. I think playing with JTM will get JV there faster. Best role model to have for him.

I find these games hard to predict but I agree it will probably be a game fought along the boards with a low goal count. Enjoy your evening off and I look forward to your takes.

More from scoops:
- Toffoli is targeted to return for game 7, but game 6 might be possible.
- Myers “slightly separated shoulder” should be ready for next round, if #Canucks
advance.

If Jake is playing with JTM it means his game is where it is suppose to be by now.
We could sure use it. Despite all this turmoil there's still tons of tourists in town, huge lineups at all fast food drive though's, beaches are packed. Idiot's. - VanHockeyGuy
When you can't go to Disneyland, Loco Landing and the Wibit are the next best thing.

Well he did play and produce with JTM last game so he has the ability its the consistency that needs more work. So does that mean more time with JTM to get there or spot duty...?
Not recent or anything, but here's the lineup NHL.com had projected this morning.
Canucks projected lineup
J.T. Miller -- Elias Pettersson -- Jake Virtanen
Tanner Pearson -- Bo Horvat -- Brock Boeser
Antoine Roussel -- Adam Gaudette -- Brandon Sutter
Tyler Motte -- Jay Beagle -- Loui Eriksson
Alexander Edler -- Troy Stecher
Quinn Hughes -- Christopher Tanev
Oscar Fantenberg -- Jordie Benn
Instant chemistry last game when Green put them together, I hope JT has an interest in Jake cause he's the best guy to help him get his ass in gear. - NorthNuck
