Brackett throwing a little shade over Canucks today

- VANTEL

An obvious disconnect between the two, Minnesota is lucky to have him, I suspect their drafting will greatly improve with Brackett on-board. He seems like a a really intelligent guy, I believe you said a few years back you’d like him as next GM.

I expected a bit more of that as well. I really like the overhead/behind the net angle when 1 team is on the powerplay but they don't use it very often.
- NorthNuck

Probably they are still trying to recover from the blue glowing pucks with red SWOOSH! hahaha

It will certainly be interesting to follow - sometimes the guys that finally get out from under fall flat....they need to be held back a bit to really succeed....Minny will be scooping any hidden players according to the Nucks in the later rounds I guess.....

Any word of information on Toffoli? Is he gonna be available this series?
- Pacificgem

Swap him out for Erikson.
Spread that scoring around.

Erickson is safe as houses out there in my opinion. Good enough for this series. Put him on the 4th line

The behind the net on the PP is fantastic for seeing puck movement and how players move relative to the front of the net imo.

Maybe the overhead doesn't bug me because I play so much NHL I'm used to it

where is the Blues fan? he spent lots of time here yestarday.

his last pompous post about our goals being flukes at 3-1 told him to get worried the Canucks weren't done... he never had a chance to respond because the Canucks took over the game and that was all she wrote for him.

The Canucks drafted extremely well over the past four drafts, with Brackett as Director of Amateur Scouting, I find it really hard to believe he had nothing to do with their success. I’ll be following what the do in Minnesota for sure, their drafting has been really poor historically since becoming the “Wild”.

I find it interesting he wound up with the team that selected Boldy. Do we know which of the decision makers preferred Podkolzin yet?

I know he's not a sexy pick but I think he'd look pretty good in a series like this a couple of years from now.

So would a guy who completes a line that scores 5v5. Grewe has the same potential as Podkolzin and was taken more than a round later.

I don't think he has the same potential. He has a similar skillset but I don't think it's even close at the pro level.

Like I said, not a sexy pick but I think he'll surprise with his ability and drive.

I guess we’ll see. I doubt he’ll surprise with ability unless he magically develops some hockey sense. He also won’t surprise with drive as everyone already knows he has that in abundance. He is what he is, which IMO is a terrible pick at 10 considering who was still on the board.

Maybe if the camera was static it wouldn't bug me as much – but with it moving around, zooming in and out, and the players moving, I find it so aggravating to watch

I think both side, Benning vs Brackett, will tell you they “heard” it was their guy. No one except Canucks staff will ever know the truth.

Pod reminds me of a Ferland type of player, which isn’t a bad thing, personally I wanted someone else though. But whuddo I know.
