You will have hundreds of upset east coast Canuck fans . That is still better than thousands of Vancouver and Vegas fans trying to get home from rush hour and cooking dinner during a 6 PM start.

You mean back when Gillis traded for him?

- boonerbuck

Yes, he was 'promising' then, but not an NHL goalie.

I'm not the biggest Green fan, but the adjustment he made reversing the flow of our breakout to counter St. Louis' overload was brilliant and Berube had no answer.

Green absolutely stepped up.

Hopefully the play of the bottom 6 can help us trade them for some cap relief later on..

I know

I very seldom read other blogs on here but this is getting towards the most fun part of the year for Armchair GMs. Just read the Leafs blog , this is going to be one of the best off seasons ever.

The good thing is the farther we go the more value guys like Stecher Beagle Sutter get.

It's not just the media upset about the start time.

There are two games a day FFS, one in each rink if they do it right.

There are plenty of Canuck fans outside the pacific time zone and I know tons of you guys don't like the later start time even during the regular season.

I'd like to see a 6 eastern and 9 or 930 eastern start for the games moving forward. By the time the puck drops it's nearly midnight here with those late starts.

- golfingsince

They met half way last night, with a 9:45 Start time, instead of the 10:45 start time. I think the East Coast fans should be thankful enough for that.
A lot of us on the Westcoast aren't even home by that Start time.

I can't get over the fact that Boeser skating is too bad for longevity in this league, although now that I look at the ages of Sean (25) and Johnny (27), I would only do it for Sean..I'm not sure how much faster he is compared to Boeser...

I retract the trade statement.

Bowser made some adjustments at both ends of the ice during the series and played well after making those adjustments

But keeping Sutter and Beagle another year lets Gaudette get sheltered time again for development . That is the other side of the coin.

Only trade one of them (Sutter), while also finding a new home for Eriksson.

I have mixed feelings about trading them and the farther I see them go the less I want them traded. They are both vets that step up when it is important and I think Canucks being so young need it.

I think if you are looking for cap moving Sven is where you go. People forget about LTIR with Ferland also.

Onwards!

My new blog is up with a few final thoughts on the Blues, some praise for the Canucks' mental approach to these playoffs and a slightly nervous peek at the rested and rockin' Vegas Golden Knights.

It's hard to have two vets making that much taking up roster spots on the team. Need a place to put Hoglander when he arrives, which I think will be next year on the third line.

Add in raises for Marky, Tanev, JV, Motte, Stetcher (if keeping them all) and Sven's cap gets eaten up real fast. That's not saying anything of TT, if they intend to resign him. Getting rid of LE, Sutter, Sven would be a perfect off season.

I'm just curious, is rush hour like it was pre-covid out there?

I mean here there really isn't much of a rush hour to begin with here but with school being out and so many people working from home it has all but disappeared.

That is a long shot prediction. I'll take it!

It's getting way ahead of the situation here, but anyone thinking that we could have a rematch with the Bruins if we make it to the finals?
