Speaking of trust with young guys, I noticed my boi
BigTuna-Shotgun Jake the snake Virtanen (?too much) out there defending the 1 goal lead late in the 3rd period.
I never lost the faith in him and he had a great game last night.
It only took a couple warm up games to get going
I'm hoping this allows him to stay in the top 6 going forward. - dbot
The kid has good skill and compete level, but ya, he tends to look like Bambi on ice.
10 million, did someone really suggest that? - Reubenkincade
Yup, just back a page or so, the kid has amazing skills but definitely not worth 10 million. It's his sophomore year, let's see if he continues to improve and stay on his feet.

What a concept, see if a player can do it consistently.
Ryan O'Reilly who is currently a better player and arguably the world's best player Nathan McKinnon aren't getting paid anywhere near 10 million, but hey , Vancouver should grossly overpay because they overpay everyone.

I know you have a testosterone fetish, but O’Reilly is NOT a better player than Pettersson no matter how many hidden cam vids they show of his quirky workouts.
Podkolzin wasn't my pick either. I wanted Newhook. - golfingsince
Newhook was my preference as well. We’ll see in 3-4 years which is the more impactful player. Hard to second guess the Canucks over the past 3 first round picks, though.

Yes he is. - Reubenkincade
Based on what?
Goals scored this year? Nope - Elias had 15 more in 3 fewer games. Points scored this year? Nope Elias had 5 more in 3 fewer games. Plus minus? Nope - Elias was +5 better.

I mean, right now he is. Conn Smythe and Selke winning number one center who has a very similar PPG average the past two years to Petey, who is also number 2 or something in FO draws and percentage.
Petey will/should be a much better player in the future, but right now ROR is in his prime and Petersson isn't at his yet.

You used words vs my sarcasm.
Well played...........
To add to the above valid points. When did Calgary offersheet him? 2000 and long time ago.....Pete is still a pup. Millage alone Pete wins hands down.

I have no problem naming the goat from last night...greatest of all time and hero is and remains Markstrom.
Pettersson looks hilarious out there falling all over the ice, a St. Louie player just lightly touches or breezes by and the kid is flopcocking all over the ice. And someone thinks he’s worth 10mil...talk about a homer.. - Nuckerwhatever
