Not as much fanfare as Ross playing tonight, but I thought Dal Colle stepped in and played a damn good game. Everything, though, seems to run through Pelech. When he's really playing well, it just seems like everything's always under control...the other team has trouble getting things going and the Isles always seem to be going the right way.
Whole team's playing great...Bailey, Beau, Pageau...really hope they carry this over to the next round. |

Thanks JS. Good sound isles style game from what I can tell from highlights. How was MDC and Ross in their absence. I’m a Ross fan so hoping he played well. And hope MDC did too just for our depth. - streaks
Ross and MDC had limited minutes, but were fine. Made the simple plays effectively.
7 will tell you that Ross was the difference in the game, but he does tend to exaggerate. |

Never exaggerate JS.
After this game I’m expecting Ross to Center the first line and that’s with a capital C. |

I really don’t have a whole hell of a lot to add. I’m just happy to put these guys in our rear view mirror.
2 things. That Lou guy everyone else likes to call old and out of touch, acquires Pageau and Greene. When the last time we added players at the deadline that have contributed like this? I thought Greene was immense tonight. 2) you’re as strong as your middle...13, 29, 44 and 53. Not bad.
Just....a steady bunch. Good combination of youth and experience. |

MDC did look good. He was involved and keep things simple. Barry seems to trust his defensive game. Pelech is the glue to the defense and Leddy has done well the Greene. |

It’s hard to believe I joined this site because I was so pissed off we didn’t draft Filatov and traded down for Bailey. 12 years later...here we are, lol. |

Big props for Lou. I really liked the Pageau move and Greene has been better than I thought he would be. |

You were not alone potvin. I do not really follow the draft in terms of who the Isles should pick so I will usually not complain unless the Isles pass on a sure fire player. Bailey always had the offensive skill. That was never a question to me. |

You and many others..........including a guy who still posts here occasionally. Filatov was the Josh Ho Sang of his draft class. |

Looking good Isles. Gotta hand it to Lou. He's still got it. Trotz is the Man. Has anyone seen Roger Roeper?

Nobody has seen him since he hopped into Matthews’s van on the promise of free candy. |

I was one of the people furious we didn’t pick Filatov like most people. Let’s not forget who we’re talking about here it’s Josh Bailey. Be careful blowing smoke up his arse it could come back and bite you right back. Hahaha. He played great in this series let’s just say I’m cautiously optimistic and hopeful he continues with his play, we win the cup, while driving up his trade value
Show me someone, anyone, who wanted Snow to pick Bailey in that draft and you would be showing me a liar
Let’s hope he keeps it up... |

I stand by all my past Bailey comments but I give him a ton of credit the way he is playing now and if he continues the Isles are in great shape. Bailey was not drafted as a fighter or big hitter but to put up points like he is doing now and to be a solid top 6 player. |

Absolutely I’m right there with you as well but we’ve seen him play awesome for stretches and just go back to what we know. I’m not taking away from anything he accomplished this series far from it I absolutely, unequivocally, hope his play continues but let’s stop talking about it for obvious reasons
Also, half that initial post was tongue in cheek. |

I'm with you Cpt. We cannot get ahead of ourselves with Bailey and this team. This 2nd round is the mountain the Isles have to prove they can climb. I posted before the season getting past the 2nd round was a must this year. |

Everyone has said Lou overpaid for JG Pageau...I beg to differ. Greene has been a solid piece as well. |
