Jairo sucked, Lehner caused a couple bad goals with bad exchanges as well and Greiss is no puck handling dynamo either. Seems like the Canadian and American goalies are just better for some reason imho.

It’s very rare to have a great puck handling goalie let alone one that’s also good. The ones that aren’t good at it should do everything in their power to stay away from the puck whenever possible imo. Lehner for as much as I liked him did not do that. Halak is legendary bad at handling the puck. Teams used to put him in a position were he had to handle the puck with dump ins and he got victimized multiple times when he was an islander.

The good ones just seem to be North Americans for the most part and I think it has to do with playing on the same size ice as the NHL for their whole hockey careers since they were kids. The Europeans play on larger sheets where goalies don’t venture out of their nets as much. Just my opinion though.
