Just sign Hall and give Jack a winger for Christ sake.

This post is the dumbest thing you shall read today. Yes folks, the thing holding the Buffalo Sabres back was the lack of a #2 centreman.

The hell is your problem? 2C is by far their biggest need.

What, never said that was the only thing, but it's a big thing. We have 1 line, and a 2LW that can put the puck in the net, unfortunately he does not have a 2C to dish him the puck. Guess reading comprehension is hard to come bye.

Hall isnt the answer for the Flames and the Flames aren't the answer for Hall. Their defence will be hurting after losing 2-3 guys this year and they don't have a true #1 center. They will be a perennial 7-10th place team for the next 5 years. Im sure Hall wants to play on a perennial playoff contender after 10 years of being on poop teams.

I think his best bet is to take a short term deal with a great team with a true #1 center to show his true value to the league while the cap is flat. The expansion draft comes next year and teams can clear cap space. A 1-year deal with the Avs would be perfect for him in my eyes. Go play with MacKinnon and chase a Cup. They have the cap space before extensions for Makar and Landeskog are needed. Next year teams can clear out space when Seattle enters and have a better idea when the cap will be rising again. Hell maybe Seattle drafts a decent team like Vegas did and he signs there to be the face of the franchise.

maybe someone should tell Hall this....... Actually this is a great idea!!

As long as he doesn't get hurt...............

Hey EK!
Whad da ya think about Vegas and Lehner. If he continues to be #1 in the play-offs, do they re-sign him and trade MAF in the off season???? MAF only has a 10 team no trade list. Does MAF go to the Canes, the Avs, Toronto???? C'mon EK, we gots to know!!

How is that fake news, Rhino, Skinner,Olofsson. Get that 2C and a decent 2RW if you don't want Cozens there. Bring in a decent 1B Goalie and the Sabres just became better.

I know right! Hall only wants 8-10 million a year. He's a super star! I mean he doesn't play defense at all, but who cares when he puts up goals like he does. I mean except for his 16 goals last year and his 11 goals the year before. And his 2 goals in the playoffs. Hmmm, Maybe I better rethink this.

He never wanted to go to another not very good team like AZ, he was never happy there, pretty easy to tell.
I don't see any chance he get $8mil

And as I said in the 1st post, who was his center in AZ?
Another 35pt center? Wow can't believe he didn't put up bigger numbers in AZ
AZ is an offensive hole for players, see Kessel, no one for him to play with either.

Managing a team by emotion is a sinker.
Look at Edm and Toronto, they've made to many decisions base on emotion. Why do you think Chiarelli got almost nothing for Hall and Eberle.
And look at Toronto, the fans want to run Marner and Anderson, maybe even Tavares out of town, because of emotion. I would hope Dubas is not as dumb as Chiarelli was but we'll see. (Dubas was under huge emotional pressure to sign home boys Tavares and Marner and he overpaid both)(and what I mean by overpaid is he has too much money tied up in forwards now)

After Seattle builds around Carey Price, then maybe MAF goes to the Habs. With Cody Ceci.

Hall left Calgary at age 13. He played in the OHL. He spends most of his summer at an Ontario cottage that he owns. His parents are settled in Ontario.

So is Calgary really home? What memories does he have...playgrounds, ice cream shoppes, riding his skateboard to go buy a Slurpee?

He has Flame pajamas.

Trade Johnny, sign Hall to a 4 year contract at 6 or 7 million. If that happens I would consider that a major upgrade.
No assets lost in signing Hall, plus the Flames should get a high draft pick and a player for Johnny.
The Flames would be a much better playoff team, I also think it would help Monahan as well. Monahan and lindholm wouldn’t have to play short handed anymore.
