Blues may have been less than but the Canucks have evolved a tonne since the season stoppage and even the Minny series. They look faster, more cohesive, and more confident. Vegas is a very good team but this is now a young man’s game - expect even more growth from the young core in round two. - CoolerHeads
Yes the Canucks are a TEAM now and have advanced a lot since Vegas last played them. Adding TT and Myers back into the line up gives them a fighting chance against a deep well organized machine that VGK have been.

It's really a strange feeling. I feel the shutdown really helped us out by getting some of our most important players much needed rest. They look very much removed from the team that was limping towards the finish to end the season.
I feel like the Canucks are that team that nobody wants to play right now. A confident young team with some dynamic young stars and spectacular goaltending. A mixture of youth and veteran talent surrounding them.
We won't be favoured in any round moving forward which removes all pressure. A dangerous team to play against.
The Canucks core is young and very few people outside of Vancouver even thought they'd give the Blues a run for their money, I'd say feelings ourselves is the right reaction. Especially considering that the Canucks won a couple of games finishing the game with 5 defensemen. The Blues thought they could physically intimidate guys like EP and Hughes, but instead they both brushed it off and played their games without fear.
Vegas is more of a challenge for sure, better goaltending and more speed. Their forecheck gives the Canucks a lot of issues. - Nucker101
Winning is a huge confidence booster to a young talented core. I'd say EP and QH are the 2 most dynamic players in the VGK series. They can make the PP be the difference. Good to see they finally switched it up as we wanted with BB.
If supporting cast like JV and the bottom 6 keep pace the Canucks can do damage. TT is the X factor as we haven't seen a top 6 play with him and BB in more then 1 game.

missed it what did the big douche say this time....
He said there was no woman in the bubble to distract you. - boonerbuck
I forget who it was , I think Gord Miller showed a photo on Twitter of a condom found on the floor in the bubble. His tweet was "Well that's interesting"
I was listening to the after hours show til 3am. Was on it 3x. One guy said before the series if Canucks beat the Blues he’d buy a jersey of whomever got the game winner.
I sure hope the Canucks tell the NHL to piss off and stay in the hotel all by themselves. There's no time to be moving with a game tomorrow - CallmeTiny
They're moving today. Roussel posted a video on his IG Story of the guys with their suitcases, going down their fenced-in path for what I assume will be the last time.
Potential karma implications aside, maybe this will be a bit of a refresher for them? They don't have time to go play golf or do anything fun, but at least they get a change of scenery and a room-quality upgrade?
I wouldnt have given Binnington much consideration for the start considering how obvious it was that the canucks had him totally exposed blocker side. Last night they just picked up where they left off and picked him apart glove side. Allen didnt show that kind of gap in his armor and his only loss was a 1 goal game. It was a decision that was a head scratcher for me and my confidence soared when it was reported who was starting in net for the Blues. - boonerbuck
Benn is playing fine, but he's playing bottom pair. We're seeing Stetch step it up into a top 2/top 4 placement. I'm not advocating for resigning him – unless he wants to take a VERY team friendly deal I'd let him walk – but don't know what JB is looking at.
Having those young guys ready to step in is what we need, but for that to happen we need spots for them to go to. Sutter and Beagle are getting older and slower, and if we can offload one this season that solves multiple issues for the team in one swoop.
I'm hoping TT comes back and we can see what we have with him. I don't think they'll resign him as it doesn't look great cap-wise (and I don't want them to either), but we'll see. - NewYorkNuck

"If you think about it, it's a terrific environment with regard to -- if you enjoy playing and enjoy being with your teammates for long periods of time, it's a perfect place," Boucher said.
"Not even any woman here to disrupt your concentration," Milbury responded.
It seems a little overblown to me.
Most people that have ever been a young man knows that he's not wrong. Whereas the comment may be insensitive it's also spot on although distraction would have been a better word.
There's a reason that seahawk player tried to smuggle a girl in. Boys will be boys.
Don’t have to let Stecher walk trade his rights. - Nighthawk
How many game winner and series winners does the guy have to score to prove you wrong about him. The Canucks have 2 LHD going to fight for a roster spot in Rathbone and OJ and as we saw Rafferty isn't on Stecher's level so why trade away a heart and soul Canuck player? They'll find a way to keep him just as they will get rid of LE's contract.
I agree with the Blues poster from last night saying this isn't the team that won the cup. You certainly saw stretches of it but ultimately they weren't as deep and got nowhere near the same level of goaltending.
Still, a gutty series win for the youngsters which should pay dividends moving forward. I felt like losing this series after being up 2-0 could have set them back.
Vegas has a great team and they're pretty deep. Of course they're favoured but I feel like we have the 2 most dynamic players in the series and we also have plenty of playoff experience insulating the youth.
I'm going to call the 7 game upset. - golfingsince
I lean towards a game 7 but my gut isn’t sure on us winning. My decider is who wins game 1 wins game 7. Idk why but my 1st thought
